Peaceful spot to unwind
My husband and I stayed here for a few days and I could not more highly recommend. It's such a quiet, lovely spot to unwind, but still easy access to the hikes we wanted to do (Shi Shi Beach and Soh Duc Falls). It had everything we needed and more. Michelle was there to greet us and show us around. It is about 20-30 min from the grocery store, but there was a list of grocery stores, restaurants, etc waiting for us to help us know where to go. Can't beat being able to walk out the door and down to the beach! Wonderful spot!

Beautiful quaint little beach house! It was everything we hoped for. Michelle (the site manager) was more than helpful. Her and her husband definitely make sure everything is perfect. They even had little pats of butter ready! Beach access is outstanding as is the sandy beach. Very comfortable and cozy!

The Perfect Escape
The caretaker was on hand to take me thru and show where things were, including breakfast food I wasn't expecting. The bed was piled high with pillows and blankets. She'd turned on the heat for me which would have been appreciated if it were colder but immediately turned it off when I told her my plan was to sleep with the window by the bed open so I could hear the water. THAT was fantastic. It was close enough at high tide that some big waves made the bed shudder just a bit. I'm hoping to go back this fall and watch some truly epic storms.

Cabin retreat
Everything was ideal except the weather. The cabin is just as depicted, very well equipped, beautifully maintained, and the caretaker, who lives right next door was at our beckon call. The sandy public beach was right out the door, and accessible at all levels of tidal levels. A delightful, unexpected treat were our aerial visitors, visiting the daily-filled bird feeder, affixed to the picture window. Yellow finches, blue jays, siskins, and scores of others, taking turns at the feeder. Can't wait to visit again.!

Great for a solo escape!
Lovely little spot. The photos of the view don’t actually do it justice - so beautiful. I was even treated to some Northern Lights due to some lucky timing. As a solo female traveler, this spot felt incredibly safe and suited my needs perfectly. Everything was clean and well maintained. The property manager is incredibly kind and helpful - going so far as to call some local businesses for me when I asked what I thought was a passing question. I absolutely would book here again.

Golden hospitality in stunning natural setting
If the sound, view, and smell of the ocean hasn’t already relaxed you, caretaker Michelle’s welcoming smile and helpful cabin tour will make you feel right at home. Exceptional care has gone into the décor and provisioning of the cabin. Natural wood elements throughout and the right touch of whimsy add to the charm. To our happy surprise, the kitchen was already stocked with cooking oil, salt, pepper, butter, syrup, frozen waffles, mini cereal boxes, food wrap, paper towels and more. The useful collection of cookware is in great shape. There are plenty of towels, quality bath amenities, and blankets for snuggling on the couch. Michelle and Dave, the owner, are very responsive to any needs that arise. Check out the binder on the coffee table for helpful general information, cool pictures of the area, as well as recommendations for dining, espresso, and groceries. You could spend the whole time in this cozy, clean, well-appointed cabin and never tire of the view. Clouds, sun, birdlife, marine vessels, and tides create ever-changing enchanting views. The tides renew the beach outside the door, creating interesting new shore walks. If you want to get out and about, there are amazing hikes within easy driving distance. We loved hiking Cape Flattery, Shi Shi Beach, and the Lake Ozette Loop, which takes you through lush forest and a monolith strewn beach. Be sure to check out the engaging Makah museum in Neah Bay. We enjoyed quality offerings and friendly people at Native Grou

"Strait" as Could Be!
We were impressed with this quaint little unit that overlooks the Straits of Juan de Fuca, situated about 25 yards from the water with a picturesque view through the front room widow (and bedroom window too). Michelle maintains the unit and greeted us on arrival, and said good-bye as well. We stayed 5-days and enjoyed the comfort. My wife walked the shoreline at low tides. We read and watched the ships come and go (enter and leaving the straits), Tuesday being the busiest with more than 8 container/cargo ships. Wednesday we saw two naval ships enter the Straits. We plan to return. Thank you for the superb hospitality. Rich and Leslie

This property is much more charming in person! The wood cabin feel was perfect for our winter getaway during the historic snowfall. The property owner was so sweet and she made sure we made it there safely and offered assistance if we needed anything during our stay. We are looking forward to coming back for the views, charm, and location since its near costal beaches and hiking trails!

Perfect solitude in the PNW
Super clean, well furnished and stocked, had everything we could want for a quiet weekend directly on the Strait of Juan de Fuca. The host was very welcoming and gave a quick rundown off all we needed to know to enjoy a comfortable weekend at the property. We had all our meals there and had all the kitchenware we needed to prepare our meals. Excellent location for exploring Cape Flattery.

Peacefull ocean spot
Nice little cabin looking right out onto the ocean. Basically a large 1 bedroom apartment. The place was well stocked with basics and reasonably clean, and the whole thing is just feet away from a nice little beach. Stayed with my girlfriend and we loved it. The only constructive criticism I can offer is that the TV was not set up at all, it was still in store demo mode when we got there, and the wifi is a little in and out, which made evening movie time a little complicated, but, lets be real, this rental is about the beach anyways.

View to die for
Very comfortable. Clean. One tiny annoyance is the rental advertises as fully refundable up to a date a few weeks out - but management fee is NOT refundable and goes in place as soon as you reserve. Think it’s a downside of using VRBO. But lovely location ! And they had half and half to go with the coffee!

Great location for exploring the Olympic Peninsula
The cabin was easy to find and clean. Despite being right on the highway we didn't often find road noise to be an issue. The cabin is right on the water with a fantastic view and easy access to the beach. We found it to be clean and the furniture comfortable. The wifi worked pretty well in the living room but barely worked in the bedroom. The reasons for the middling rating are some older home condition issues. Be aware that the home has settled significantly, so the floors are sloped. This is mostly not a big issue, but it does mean when you are using the cooktop or oven that liquids will pool forward. There does not appear to be a vent or hood fan in the kitchen. The fridge and small appliances are plugged into a power strip dangling behind the oven. When we were putting our groceries in the fridge, opening the fridge door all the way pushed on the stove a bit and made it push into the power button on the power strip, which turned off the fridge, microwave, and coffee pot. We managed to adjust how it hung to prevent that, but it could easily slide back into the same position. The lighting is a bit funny and some areas like the dinette are pretty dark. The big issue that impacted our enjoyment though was the bathroom. There is a constant slight sewage smell in there, which we think is because of a venting issue. There are air fresheners about to try to help, but it's ever present. We appreciated being so close to Neah Bay and within reach of the Hoh Rainforest, but there were enough little issues that we were a little bummed. It was a great launching pad for activities but we didn't find ourselves wanting to spend time relaxing in the cabin itself.
