"I had a lovely 2 week stay at Rui Monica. The staff were very friendly , Food delicious lots of choice, very good entertainment in the evenings. So easy to get to the beach front from Hotel. I had a little accident were I fell and the staff were amazing so kind, caring and helpful. Antonio the manager was lovely. Thank you all for your kindness and help."

"The property stands in a beautiful position overlooking the bay. The grounds and pool are lovely. The public areas are really well laid out. The bedrooms are very traditional, but well appointed & maintained, exceptionally clean."

"The rooms were small, but we had a balcony with a mountain view that made it seem sweet. Without that it would have felt cramped. The breakfast was great, worth paying for it. Location was excellent. Roof pool is small but the view is fantastic. "

"I loved this hotel. I stayed in a single room which was small, but it was so well arranged with everything you could want - refrigerator, electric kettle, desk, great lighting, etc. Breakfast was included in my package and was huge and delicious. It included fresh bread, yogurt and granola, fresh fruit, eggs made to order, a pastry, fresh orange juice, coffee or tea. The location was great with a bus stop in front of the hotel. Buses run every 10 minutes and all of them go to the historic center. There were good restaurants nearby and the beach and boardwalk were only several blocks away. The view from the roof patio of the beach is beautiful. It’s not in the center, but it made me explore more and see more."

"Property had character and had been sympathetically converted - decoration was quirky. Very clean and staff friendly. Quiet and fairly convenient location - city all accessible on foot if you're reasonably mobile. Breakfasts were good but rather expensive."
