"We had a private room with shared bathroom in the Rivoli Cinema Hostel for 3 nights. It is in walking distance to most of the sights, tours and supermarkets. The kitchen was well equiped, the shared bathrooms were clean and our room was comfortable. It is a bit noisy with the traffic, but it is to be expected on this location.The staff was fun and very helpful. The cinema theme is everywhere, in all the small details! Great home base in Porto!"

It was nice that they included towels (many hostels charge a rental fee), but they were threadbare. The kitchen has no stove, only a microwave. "This property has been frailly recently updated and the beds, kitchenette and bathroom in our unit were good. What was a big disappointment was the attitude of the staff--starting with an incompetent and surly check-in by the hotel's bartender -- we had paid for a third person and bed but he tried to charge us again for that extra.
