Our home in Lichtenhain, with 2 holiday flats, is located 8 km from Bad Schandau. Enjoy the view of the garden from this very quiet holiday flat 2, 64 m², plus 2 terraces (morning and afternoon sun), on the ground floor. The flat has been awarded 4 stars by DTV Berlin and is fully equipped with everything you need for a relaxing and unforgettable holiday. It is 3 km downhill to the Lichtenhain waterfall, in the romantic Kirnitzschtal valley with the Kirnitzschtal railway.
From here, the hiking trails lead directly to the excursion destinations, such as: Kuhstallfelsen, Schrammsteine, Affensteine, Bloßstock, Häntzschelstiege, Großer Winterberg and many more. These excursion destinations can be reached in 1-3 hours from the flat. You will be rewarded with magnificent views.
The Kirnitzschtalbahn railway runs from the Lichtenhain waterfall to Bad Schandau, every half hour there and back. It stops at several stations, making it easier to get to the excursion destinations.
The hourly bus connections from Lichtenhain to the "Vordere Sächsische Schweiz", such as: Königstein Fortress, Rathen, Bastei, Brand, Wehlen, Stolpen Castle, Pirna, Sebnitz and others, are popular. The border to the Czech Republic is in Sebnitz (5 km) and the border in Schmilka (12 km) from our village.

The location of our village with 500 inhabitants is ideal for exploring the beauty of Saxon Switzerland. There are in the immediate vicinity; 2 restaurants, (where you eat like at mum's house), bus stop, bowling alley, cafe, village shop and doctor's surgery.
We are happy about 1 dog.
Dogs are not allowed on buses, trams, steamers, suburban trains and closed rooms!
