Welcome to our gorgeous, well maintained, Shiloh Villa , affectionately called "Shiloh" by our many returning guests, and means "Place of peace and abundance".

Shiloh is a historic retreat boasting 6 sun-drenched rustic luxury suites with private bathrooms, with a unique two story interior mezzanine design, perfect for entertaining in and out of doors Shiloh is just sandy steps from the pristine waters of Big Sebago - The largest and prettiest lake in Maine. Easy access by boat or car to Harrison (6.5 miles) and Naples (8 miles). 45 minutes west of Portland airport.

Featuring the simple elegance of hardwood floors throughout, a restored oak and stone fireplace, Shiloh also offers the comfort of beautiful leather seating, marble topped tables, and a Chef's "delightfully" equipped kitchen with slate counter tops including a Kitchen Aid oven/range...with water views. In our suites we've added new comfy beds with fluffy soft linens,restored all the bathrooms' large clawfoot cast iron bathtubs with vintage chrome and porcelain shower/sprayers, makeup/shaving mirrors, and more! Shiloh Villa's Cleaning Guidelines:
We have 24-48 hrs blocked off before and after each visitor for professional cleaning and disinfecting to help contain the spread of Covid-19.

For Guests: Onsite Laundry, cleaning and disinfecting supplies, toilet paper is provided, and all linens and towels are cleaned between guests by a professional service.

We welcome all of our guests to Shiloh Villa, in person for a brief tour of the house. Please share your best memories of your stay at Shiloh Villa in our guests log!

Please let us know what time you are departing for a walk through and/or brief survey.

Please review our House Rules:

Chef’s kitchen is fully equipped including a KitchenAide Oven. Please return all kitchen appliances & tools to their original storage spaces.

Please do not clean (dress) fish or game in the villa. Please bag and dispose of all shells, bones, kitchen waste, garbage, etc in the waste bins and take to Transfer Station.

Please do not throw shells or cascaras, or bones in the yard or gardens- they attract pests.

All towels and linens are provided:
Please only use the white towels for bathing indoors and the grey towels for the beach.

Please provide adult supervision (18+) for all children under 12 when on the indoor mezzanine or outdoor decks , or beach (no lifeguards).

There are two private moorings directly in front of the house, and the Sebago Launch is 5+- minutes walk from the Villa.

To access The Sebago Boat Launch, Parking at Mt. Douglas and the Transfer Station( to be CDC Compliant, guests must collect and dispose of their own trash/garbage at The Transfer Station- less than a mile from the Villa). Please provide a license plate and name it us registered under so we can have a pass made for that vehicle during your stay. A pass has to be filled out and dated for use, so we can just sort that out at Check In.

No pets, many of our families have allergies.
There is a charge of $250/day/animal for violators.
No open flames or fireworks allowed.
Free Trash Transit Passes for Guests to dispose of their trash: $75 Pick Up Fee for left behind trash.

We are nearby to answer questions and care for the gardens. Please message us through this APP with questions or concerns.

The WIFI formation is posted and we will provide the lock box code at Check In.

Beautiful property. The location being right on the beach was exactly what we were looking for.

The best weekend on Sebago Lake!
We hosted my sister’s bachelorette party for the weekend here and we can’t thank James and M enough - their home was perfect for our group and right on the lake. There was plenty of space both indoors and outdoors, the kitchen was well equipped and the house was perfect. We can’t wait to come back again soon.

Outstanding waters edge property!
Large enough to accommodate a large family and keep them occupied! We loved the beach access and ability to moor our boat right near the property. Lots of swimming with a very “laidback” vibe. The owners were very gracious and keep the property in fantastic condition!

Fabulous experience in a gorgeous location
I can’t say enough to accurately describe how much we loved staying at the Shiloh villa. We had 18 people total and had more than enough space despite it raining part of the time. The rooms were comfortable and 7 bathrooms makes a large group do-able. It’s location right on the water is stunning, the neighbors are friendly and the owners are super responsive and welcoming. I was there with a group of friends and I can’t wait to return in the future, both with them as well as with my family.

Amazing Summer Stay
Shiloh Villa is a fantastic place for family, friends, and children of all ages to enjoy a beautiful lake front experience. The house is well equipped inside for entertaining and the outside offers all the amenities to enjoy the water while relaxing with a great view. The thing most appealing for me was the kids could be in the water and adults easily watch them from the beach area or the deck that is literally touching the beach. James and M were so responsive and helpful. I would recommend this house to anyone looking for a wonderful lakefront vacation! Brian

Birthday Celebration/ Family Weekend
Our family rented this house for 4 or 5 summers 15+ years ago. When I saw it on VRBO, I decided that I wanted my whole family to gather there to celebrate my 75th birthday and to reminisce about our previous vacations there. We were not disappointed. There were 23 of us for 3 nights. We all fit comfortably. The renovations to the kitchen and bathrooms were a big improvement! The addition of bunk beds to the bedrooms was a plus. Even though it rained most of the weekend, the teenagers still swam in the lake. The house is spacious enough that there were lots of spaces for everyone to be comfortable. This place is a little piece of heaven!

Great for a large group
We stayed here for a joint bachelor/bachelorette party with a group of 18 of us. We weren’t sure about the bedroom situation because it wasn’t totally clear each was pictured, but all 6 bedrooms are essentially identical, the only difference is two of the bedrooms have a single bed in addition to the queen and the other four have a bunk bed. The en suite for each bedroom is also the same. We didn’t find issues with hot water/water pressure for such a large group either. The house was perfect for our group gathering and they had tons and tons of kitchen items, plenty for everyone to use. The views are beautiful and we had a great time on the lake. Would highly recommend for other group gatherings. Our only small complaint is that there are two seating areas, so it wasn’t easily possible for everyone to hang out indoors together. That was okay because we were mostly outside but in bad or colder weather, it would be nice to have an arm chair or two for a little more comfy indoor seating.

Perfect family vacation spot
Shiloh was the perfect place for my family’s annual trip. It fit three generations of us (22 in all from age 75 to 5 months) comfortably and provided the perfect setting for us all to hang out, cook, eat, play in the lake, be active, play taboo - all the things you’d want to do on a family trip. The house is beautiful and laid out in such a way that it brings everyone together to the central common spaces. The beach is perfect and the back deck was amazing for grilling and hanging out! We loved it!

Unbelievable Bachelorette Weekend
Words cannot describe the property and experience we had here on Sebago Lake. The location is a slice of paradise, just steps from a sandy beach and a scenic view of the lake from the deck. The owners were exceptional at accommodations and coordinating local food, liquor and flower vendors; working closely with my sister to plan the entire weekend. Flexible with early check in to allow for set up prior to my arrival and even some live music at sunset on our last evening. I only have spectacular things to say about our stay here and have shared the listing with everyone I know looking for a large friend or family group vacation. You cannot beat 7 bathrooms! Waterfront house with an amazing deck that provides lake views and plenty of space for large groups! The house is well equipped and affords you the opportunity to make many memories. James and M are very communicative and gracious! Our extended family had a great vacation and look forward to returning!

Awesome Spot
Shiloh Villa is in an awesome spot. Beautiful beach, nice deck and pictures don’t do the house justice. We had just arrived after a huge storm blew through and had no power. The owners were super responsive and came out to hook up a generator for us. 10/10 and would stay here again. Thanks for everything!

Cousin heaven
Bunk beds, lake time, chilling on the deck…this place is made for catch ups & relaxing. Two days in a row some of us awoke for sunrise over the lake. The hosts were warm & welcoming and even texted a check in mid week. Highly recommended!

Family Vacation A Huge Success
We have been doing family vacations with our extended family for several years now. Our four adult daughters with their young families look forward to our annual vacation together with all 17 of us. Shiloh Villa is a new rental house for us this year, 2019. As with all things new purchased online sight unseen, we were hopeful but cautious as to how the property would work out for our needs. Well in a word, Shiloh villa as well as the owners, James and Mary, exceeded and then some all our expectations and dreams. Shiloh Villa is located right on the western shore of Sebago Lake. We started our day getting up early with the young grandchildren and enjoying a brilliant and beautiful sunrise coming up over the eastern hills and lake to start our day enjoying this beauty with a nice cup of coffee. The villa has six suites that have plenty of sleeping capacity and full baths for each of our daughter's own families. We spent our days swimming, kayaking, boating, and fishing right off the beach right in front of the villa. During nap time of the younger grandkids, the older kids and a few adults walked and or bicycled down to the nearby school to enjoy the playground there. Later in the afternoon, some of us occasionally would walk or bicycle down to Richard's for an ice cream. At the end of the day, we would grill dinner on the porch overlooking the lake enjoying the view of activity as well as starting our happy hour. After, dinner we enjoyed each others company and played cards and games with one another. Additionally, we watched the Red Sox and Patriot games on the tv in the living room. As you can tell by my daily activity descriptions I offer here, we had a perfect family vacation stay at the Shiloh Villa. We highly recommend the place for those of you who want a memorable and meaningful family vacation like we had at the Shiloh Villa.

Classic lake family vacation
The house is perfectly designed for multiple families, with a wonderful porch and steps right down to the beach. Each room has its own bathroom (a big plus for larger groups) and there is also plenty of communal "hang out" space. The house is well stocked with cooking supplies and board games, and simply but elegantly furnished. Renting a motorboat from a nearby marina (there is a mooring right in front of the house) made our experience truly fantastic. The older kids in our group loved the waterskiing and tubing, and we had some great fishing trips. The younger kids could have played on the beach all day! It is ideal swimming for younger kids as there is plenty of sandy bottomed shallow areas. Neighbors were friendly about sharing the use of their docks, and swimming out and jumping off of them was a lot of fun. Though the house is close to neighbors, everyone is very friendly. There are playing fields just up the street for pick up soccer or frisbee. We especially enjoyed walking to Richard's for ice cream after dinner! Overall this was an ideal location for a large group of multiple families with a broad range of ages. Fantastic old fashioned family lake vacation!
