This was a home in the city! It worked great for our family of 4. In room laundry was a great convenience. Close to everything we didnt have to drive anywhere! The host was kind and showed us everything we needed to know! Highly recommend.

Great location and condo; terrible check in process
I had no idea when I booked the place that I would have to schedule a meetup with someone to let us in at an agreed upon time. Read the fine print that makes it sound that this is for your convenience! I am accustomed to getting a key code to be let in and someone was calling me to schedule a time to get checked in. I did not answer because, first I was on the plane, and then second they were not leaving a voicemail and I assumed it was junk. Apparently check in was at 4 pm and since I wasn't there at 4, the guy had "other customers" to assist and we had to end up waiting outside the building with all our luggage in the heat. Bottom line is, you can only access your room when this guy will let you in and apparently he is busy. Once he finally arrived, at around 5:20, he took to an entirely wrong room where someone else was clearly staying; then dragged us back to the first building to another room. This room was very nice yet 80-85 degrees the entire time. They must have known the AC wasn't working bc there was a giant ac unit inside that worked to an extent but was extremelyoud. Couldn't figure out whether I preferred the quiet or sweating all night. I could have called for help but honestly it was a short trip so wasn't worth it. The balcony was great; you could see the water. It was just a short trip to the space needle and pike market and to good places to eat.

Disappointing Stay
This rental left a lot for wanting. There were a lot of small things wrong- queen size sheets on the king size bed, no fitted sheet or blanket for the pull out bed, 3 coffee mugs for a place advertised to hold 4, a shower that didn’t drain, no wine opener, and no top rack inside the dishwasher or dishwasher detergent. These felt like basic amenities that were missing and we were disappointed but not necessarily upset. A maintenance person also just showed up trying to fix the dishwasher on our first day. However, we were given no heads up from corporate or local Vacasa management that we should be expecting anyone and they had just given out my contact info to this maintenance person without any warning. This felt both unsafe and very unprofessional to inconvenience your guests to get your maintenance work done. However, the largest problem and the kicker for this bad review came with the construction the neighbor directly above us did in the middle of the night for 2 nights in a row. There was hammering and sawing going on between the hours of 2-5 AM on both Saturday and Sunday night. Unfortunately, Vacasa only refunded us about 1/9 of what we paid, and this was also very disappointing. This is the worst rental I have ever stayed at and I would not stay at this VRBO again.

Property is close to most tourist things. Great views of water. Check in was a bit of a nuisance having to coordinate to meet with a person vs just checking in like all the other properties we’ve stayed at.

We anticipated having cable TV as the listing stated, but we did not. We needed it for one particular day and had to find an alternative place to watch what we needed to.

Great location, difficult checkin and no a/c
Pros: very clean, location was within walking distance to attractions, the view was good. Cons: check in was horrible, greeter was not there and difficult to get a hold of, no ac, near a fire station so very loud especially at night, no toilet paper, no laundry detergent. The check in process was the worst. We had arrangements for a “greeter” to meet us but no other instructions on where to park or how to get into the building. No greeter was there to meet us. I was in the phone with vacasa for 15 minutes and they couldn’t help me get in, the security guard finally called someone and she gave us the keys. The ad was also misleading, it said there is a thermostat leading me to believe there was air conditioning. The thermostat is for the heater. When we finally were able to get a hold of the greeter and get it it was 82 degrees in the unit. With the windows open all night it was so loud with sirens, homeless people screaming and a party in a unit broke us. I have never had a bad experience with short term rentals until this one. I will never rent a vacasa managed property again.

No running hot water/ or on-site help
We were to be on the second floor ended up on the 6th floor. Nice furnishings, super comfy bed. During this hot time in Portland it would have been nice to have hot water. We called in the issue and were told there was no one there to help us. 2 days later and after having to wash with cold water we were happy to leave. The events we attended were outside and not having running hot water and/ or someone to take care of it was a deal breaker. Very disappointed. Was told we would get a refund but that also never happened. I would not recommend this place to anyone. They do not care.

Seattle Stay
The property was lovely; well maintained, beautiful living room furniture, spacious rooms. All staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. Doug was efficient and quick to reply to us upon check in. Only complaint is that it seems it’s on a fire truck route and every night we were woken up with sirens and/or people yelling and partying from one of the nearby bars below. This was probably made worse because it was very warm while we were there and we had to keep the windows open all night to cool it off since it heated up to around 80 degrees every day in the unit. The building itself and the pool and common areas were very nice.
