I arrived around 11 pm to find a sign at the desk notifying guests that there would be “routine maintenance “ the next day so either “no running water” or “low water pressure” all day starting at 6 a.m. It was late, the room was prepaid, and the shuttle had left, so I stayed but, as instructed by the very nice front desk staff, I left a voicemail for the manager expressing my view that running water is one of about 3 essential amenities for a hotel, and requesting a refund. The threat of no water meant I had to get up at 5:30 to have a quick shower; my plan had been to shower at 7. Three days later, I still have heard nothing back from the manager. The hotel should have contacted everyone with a reservation for the night or next day, in advance, and allowed us to cancel with a full refund. I will not stay again, and I will keep pursuing a refund.
