Steve's Getaway is the perfect beach headquarters for those with kids looking for a little extra space, with four bedrooms, three baths, and accommodations for ten guests. Located in south Seaside, this lovely vacation rental is only 150 feet from a public beach trail and only two blocks away from the Promenade. You can be downtown in ten minutes on a bike or a short walk that will take you to the golf course, grocery store and nearby restaurants.

This three level, 2200 square foot home features knotty pine walls throughout with glimpses of the ocean from the living area and upstairs bedrooms. The main level features a large living and dining room that runs the full length of the home. Just off the kitchen is a spacious sun deck. Each of the two bedrooms on this floor is furnished with a queen bed. An additional two bedrooms and a bath are located upstairs. The larger bedroom has a queen bed and two twin beds, while the other room has two twin beds. There is a bathroom in the basement, along with a game room equipped with a pool table, foosball, ping pong and a piano. Steve's Getaway also offers Wi-Fi. Come down to Seaside today, and relax in style and comfort at Steve's Getaway!

Great stay!
Thank you for providing a comfortable and convenient location for my employees while they were on a project in Seaside. It was a great spot for them to have proximity to things to do while they were off the clock, close to their job location, and also a really comfortable place to hang out.

We had a great time in the house. The set up was different then I thought it would be but we made it work. It is an older home but was still pretty cozy. The walk to the beach was just a few minutes. Overall it was good.

Great home for a family of all ages
We stayed over Thanksgiving and it was lovely and accommodating. The downside was the miss matched plates, silverware and glasses since the home is advertised for 10 people. There were 7 of us. My 96 year old Father was able to join us. Has a wheel chair ramp. A lot of amenities in the home in case the weather is too bad to go outside. Enjoyed the fireplace. My family would go back.

Nice clean home awkward bedroom arrangements
A little disappointed to find that you have to walk through one bedroom to get to the other bedroom for both upstairs and main floor bedrooms. Both upstairs rooms did have access to the same bathroom but the main floor bedrooms did not. A little awkward in either case. Home was clean with very nice big back deck with picnic tables etc. Within walking distance to beautiful beach!! Neighbors were rude and most drove over speed limit past house. I don’t think I would return to this home with adult friends and family but might be fine for a couple couples with children.

Comfortable stay!
We had a very enjoyable and relaxing time here after finishing the Hood to Coast relay this year (8th year!) lots of space to relax and sleep post -race and a lovely patio with picnic tables to share a meal as a team. we had such a lovely time!

There isn't a Not Applicable selection so I gave them 5 stars on everything even though we didn't get to go. We had to cancel because with the cost of everything going up none of our party could make it work out. The good news is that we got half our money back so that made it so we could go to ........ oh wait.....no we didn't do anything and it still cost me $1500.

Spring Break 2022
We had a lovely time here at Steve’s Getaway. It really was a getaway. The kitchen had what we needed to fix meals, the large selection of games were perfect on the cold rainy days and the beds were comfy. There was plenty of room and with our large group having 3 bathrooms was life saving! A quick easy walk to the beach along the painted rock trail was special. We even painted some rocks of our own to leave behind. Thank you for a lovely time!

Good for gatherings
We spent thanksgiving here and it worked out great. Downstairs game room is a big plus and allowed me to cook and bake without everyone in the kitchen. Surprisingly well equipped kitchen. Upper bedrooms allows privacy. Beds are very comfortable. Short walk to the beach and seaside. Very pleased overall.

A large property with bedrooms upstairs and on main floor. Main floor bedrooms a problem because you had to walk through one to reach the other. Games in basement a plus with kids and an enjoyable barbecue on back deck.

Great location
There were many good things about this property and a few pretty bad. Pros: Location, size of house, well stocked kitchen, plenty of towels and blankets, lots of books, games, and activities. Cons: filthy living and dining room floor, half eaten lollipops left on paper plate in kitchen cabinet, sagging Queen mattress in upstairs bedroom, used tampon on shower ledge in upstairs bathroom. I was pretty disturbed when I found the used tampon in the shower. Not sure how the cleaners could have missed it if they really cleaned the entire shower. I think we might have considered staying again even with the other issues but that was sort of a deal breaker. Overall it was a good trip but after what we paid for four nights we did expect it to be cleaner.

Wonderful Family Get-Away
Yes, the listing states 4 bedrooms, when its actually 3 and one of the bedrooms is accessed through another. But for a family (or close friends) it's not a big deal. Upstairs there are 2 twin beds in the area at the top of the stairs which leads to the upstairs bedroom where there are 2 twins and a small queen. On the main floor are the 2 connected bedrooms with a queen in each. The galley style kitchen has most everything you will need. All I needed to take with me was a crock pot & griddle. There was plenty of room for a couple of us to move around and cook together. Table seets 8 comfortably, same with the living room. From the main floor you have to look between houses to see the ocean, but it's just a short walk to get to the beach. Upstairs has a great view of the coastline. Downstairs is where you find the game rooms, which is where our family spent most of our time. Besides the tables here are also plenty of boardgames available to use. Everything seemed clean and well taken care of for the most part. There was a stain on the pool table that we could only assume was from a careless renter previously and hope that doesn't lead to it being removed. Working with the property managers was a breeze and I found them very helpful & professional. All in all it was a wonderful time with our family, we would recommend Steve's Get-away and look forward to our next trip and staying there again!

NOT 4 ROOMS..NOT CLEAN
Where do i start??? Besides having to clean the table tops (bc they were sticky) and food and previous renters socks on the floor and the 4 bags of stinky garbage (from previous people)that never got picked up no matter how many times I called the management. There was the room problem! The listing says there are 4 rooms...NOT TRUE. There are 2 rooms on the ground floor...but you have to go through one of the rooms to get to the other room . So you have to walk through the other room to get to the bathroom!! So with 3 couples...that does not work...so one couple had one of those rooms. Upstairs there is a hall with 2 beds in it ...they count this as a bedroom....not really. and to get to the other room you have to go through this hall "room". So we were in the last bedroom up stairs (the biggest). But we still had to walk through the hall room to get downstairs.... So this House would be good for 2 couples...or two families....but does not work for 3 or 4 couples. All that being said everything else worked and it is a great location. No true view to see the ocean but ok it is a close walk. renter beware ;(

There was easy access to the beach. It was so nice having the game rooms for the evenings at the house. Would definitely recommend for keeping teenagers entertained!! We had a wonderful time.

Awesome back deck and perfect location!
We had a great time at this property. The house is huge and well kept. Close to the beach and a great back deck with the house blocking the sea breeze. Only downside was no puck for the air hockey table.
