It was cheap and between a couple of shopping areas with varied options. Its also pretty close to Hwy 1 (maybe 0.2 miles, if that), so you can head to Santa Cruz or Big Sur without having to navigate an unknown city. The room itself was satisfactory, with all the usual amenities. It was a little noisy (being near a highway off ramp and not very thick walls), and I did notice a crack in the shower, but other than that if you just need a place to stay the night for a coastal trip, it more than meets your needs.

Parking was limited had to use handicap spot and was a tight area. There was zero restaurants in walking distance. Next door to a car wrecker storage. Just off a major roadway and was noisy from vehicles. Wont stay again

Great rate, but you get what you pay for. This place was quiet the evening I stayed, but the room was dated and gross. There was a soft area on the linoleum floor, the walls were painted dark, but you could still make out foreign stuff on the wall, and the bedding and towels were grungy and old and needed serious replacements. The water pressure was nice, but I still felt dirty, having stayed the night.

It was good for the price Parking right outside Receptionist was nice, she wrote down my credit which I didn’t really liked because I booked it online but haven’t had any issues with that. It was quiet so I was able to sleep.

Wouldn’t recommend
The parking was not adequate. The stalls were in different directions with very narrow stall spacing. I had to park my car on a busy street 1/2 a block down vs taking a risk of my car getting hit by other motel stayers. Not safe for parking and the person checking in was not understanding of the car safety concerns I was having. I didn’t sleep well because I was worried about my car. The room had a bathroom window that wouldn’t lock, I had to remove and fix the window myself, I don’t believe the owners would have fixed it, I had to fix it so it locked to feel safe, The door did not have an internal lock that could prevent my it from being opened from the outside, I barricaded the room door with tables, chairs and luggage. The check in area had a very strong overpowering odor. Safety was a huge issue with this place, The only good thing was microwave and fridge, the bed was very hard, Definitely not going back.

Parking was a little tricky but I was able to find a spot on the street in front. It’s situated near the beach and I was able to get a good night of sleep. This is a good value if you’re looking a spot close to all the places that the Monterey peninsula has to offer.
