Amazing view!
The house is functional but run down and in need of repairs. The view was amazing and worth the stay. We enjoyed wale watching daily from the patio.

Nice place
Overall nice place. Could use better instructions about features of the home and the bedrooms smell faintly of dog, but the location is great and the house is generally clean and well maintained.

Great location!
The views are incredible! We were an hour away from the dunes to go out for dune buggy ride and 15 mins from Newport.

Fun getaway
We loved the view! The (70)steps down to the beach are not for the elderly or couples with littles. It was a beautiful location watching the ocean and a nice short distance from attractions. 4 out of 5 stars for the broken front door and the dirty floors. It was a fun getaway for my husband and myself. The hot tub came in quite handy each day.

Family get away
The property was amazing! Views, hot tub and all the windows. Only reason it wasn't 5 stars was that we didn't use 2 if the rooms because dogs before us had peed and there was stains and odors in living room and one bedroom. This isn't a property issue but cleaning and with a deep clean of carpet would be very fun!

Overall this place was great! Beach access, amazing views from the hot tub, and all very clean. The pictures are accurate, there is a new dining table that seats 6. We would book it again!

Beautiful location with beach access
Cute house with stairs to the beach. At low tide it was fun to walk out to the rocks and look at the tide pools.

The view!
This an overall nice property. The view is top notch and a very nice deck with hot tub is golden ticket. Yes there are 70 steps to take down to the beach but we didn’t mind. The beach was beautiful and quiet. Kitchen is well stocked with cooking items but I’m particular so I bring my own cast iron pan. Was glad to see a French press for coffee. Used the propane grill and it was nice. We didn’t use the cottage but went inside and it seemed nice enough. Overall clean, though could use new flooring in bedrooms as carpet was pretty dingy with stains. That being said we’d stay here again!

Million Dollar View from both house and hot tub!
What a wonderful place to just sit and watch the ocean! We did a bit of that, some beach walking (chose to drive the 2 minutes to Curtis St rather than use the stairs at the property in the interest of minimizing erosion), and checked in with our favorite people and places around the area. The house had a very nice layout, comfortable furniture, and the hot tub was wonderful as much for the view as for the soaking opportunities. WiFi was adequate for remote work needs. Definitely important to keep dogs leashed around the property at all times as the cliff is abrupt and high.

Cozy House w/ Fantastic view
Great little old school beach house with a spectacular view. Cozy and clean, but kitchen could use some more food prep and serving dishes. The hot tub on the deck was the best idea ever. There is beach access but only if you're comfortable climbing up and down some steep hillside. Luckily there are a few lovely parks and beach access points within minutes of the house. Would definitely book again!

Great view from Hot Tub
Spectacular view from the home as well as from the Hot Tub. During our stay it was very secluded and quiet. Newport is a 10 minute drive away for groceries and shopping. The beach access is quite precarious. The home is dog friendly, however the property does not have a fenced area. The interior of the home was clean and accommodating.

Loved this house
We loved the house and property but the beach access was treacherous - not for the faint of heart - steps about 2/3 down, then a rope and rocks! Only the dog has an easy time with it and our seniors didn’t even try!

Ocean view was worth the stay
Some some issues with the place the fan in bathroom didn’t work the fire pit outside didn’t look safe so we didn’t use it the access to the beach was about 40 steep steps with no rail there needs to be a small rail to get in to the living room as well as a rail in the bathroom to get into the slippery shower there was pack of dust on the wooden beam in the living room that’s been there for awhile as well as no fireplace working should be mentioned in the add assumed we could use it but couldn’t Other than those few things it was clean and enjoyable the view was worth the price!

Great View!
The view at this house is stunning! The hot tub was wonderful and the beach access was a plus, although a little difficult if you have someone in your group that is physically limited as some steps are quite steep. We can’t speak to the guest house section as we didn’t use it, but the main house was clean and cozy. The house is located right off 101 but it’s tucked back enough so it doesn’t feel right on the highway. The only downfall for us was that there wasn’t much in the kitchen. I would suggest to anyone who wants to cook their food to bring your own pan and utensils. The only items they have available are Teflon pans and plastic cooking utensils. There are no ziploc bags or foil or even spices, so be sure to bring all that if you need. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this place to others.

What a find!
This property was so much better than we expected based on the photos. It's spacious, well-appointed, and the views are stunning. It's not fancy and it's "dated," but it's incredibly cozy and functional. The hot tub is such an awesome feature and is 99% private. There's one neighbor that could catch a glimpse of you if they really put the effort in. But if you want to sit naked in a hot tub overlooking the ocean, this is a pretty safe place for it. The kitchen leaves a bit to be desired--all of the pans are pretty beat up. The knives are dangerously dull. That's really my only big gripe about the property. The beach access is a little tricky, as others have mentioned. There's a staircase part of the way and then, yes, it's a steep dirt trail. There is a rope to assist with going up and down. We managed to navigate it while carrying chairs both up and down. It isn't THAT bad. And if you're familiar with the Oregon Coast, you'll know that this is pretty average beach access. The beach itself was amazing. Sandy and EMPTY. What a treat. The bedrooms are large and the beds are comfortable. One bedroom has a fairly firm bed while the other is softer. There is only one full bathroom and it is not attached to either bedroom (no true master), which is totally fine. Just something to note if you're wanting privacy. It was clean, safe, and comfortable with stunning beach views and private access. What more can you ask for?! Book it!

OCT 2022 - Main House Only
The main house was as we expected, didn't use the 'cottage'. Access to the beach as we expected - adequate, but a bit hazardous when wet (but far better than no access). Finding the driveway entrance off the main highway (87) is tricky in fog or in the dark. The beach, once reached, was great. Kitchen, bedding, towels were fine. We were surprised at the lack of some amenities we've come to expect at vacation rentals - books (coffee table stuff, fun reading, maps, travel, or anything), notes about local restaurants/activities, library of DVDs (or a means of showing them), receiver/amp/speakers for having music in the house, working hot tub (it did not work), working indoor lights (some didn't), extra light bulbs, operating wood stove (no wood). Broken down futon couch not a real problem, but the rear corner of the living room where the TV was situated made the futon couch the only place to sit. Having the 2nd bathroom (commode/sink) in the main house laundry room is a bit funky. With so many choices on the coast, we wouldn't strongly recommend or won't return ourselves. But, we're very appreciative of Vacasa response to inquiries, especially handling of a small, important item we left behind -- returned to us, Thank you. Wish the information provided about the hot tub had made it work.

Great location but needs work
This is a decent house with incredible views of one of the most scenic areas on the coast. However, there are a number of issues that need to be addressed, for the safety of your guests as well as your civil liability. These have been reported in prior reviews and have not been fixed. The property is not safe for children, seniors, the disabled or anyone who is not paying attention. There are no grab bars nor non-skid surface in the main bathroom nor are there handrails down the stairs into the living room nor from the back door to the deck, which is extremely slippery when wet. Worse, the “fence” at the foot of the yard, the warning sign partially hidden by grass, and the stairs that descend to the beach are extremely hazardous. The fence consists of a few boards, one of which is partially fallen down, that stands at the edge of the rapidly eroding bluff. I can easily imagine an excited child climbing the fence to get a better look, and taking a dangerous tumble straight down to the beach 50 - 60 feet below. Ditto the stairs. It is definitely *not* an easy walk to the beach as your description suggests. There are a number of other problems that I reported to Vacasa on 10/21/23 but have had no response. This house could be exceptional with some work. Why not invest some money into it now, before someone is seriously injured and you’re forced by the courts to pay? Yes, I would stay here again for the view and because I love Seal Rock, but it won’t be my first choice.

Best view of Seal Rock
I think this place has the best view of Seal Rock, It was in a quiet location close to Newport to the North and Yachats to the South. Hot Tub was an added bonus and one of the best place to watch the sunset on the West coast is the bench built into the private steps going down to the beach. Saw Eagles at Ona beach and seals in the water around Seal rock.

Great views
We loved the new steps to the beach and the cottage next door. Plenty of space for four adults and two dogs and two additional adults could stay in the cottage.
