Pemetic, Penobscot, Cadillac, and Day mountains are all accessible without even getting into the car. It is a short walk out the front door to Jordan Pond House, Wildwood Stables, and Seal Harbor Beach.
In classic Maine fashion, this handsome cottage was originally built in 1890 as a workshop for a local carpenter. It has since been lovingly restored and converted to a summer home in the best spot on the island for easy access to carriage roads, central peaks, and sailing in the Great Harbor.
A one-floor living space featuring an open concept kitchen, dining, and living space. The space is incredibly bright, with windows covering the entire western end of the building and plenty of southern exposure.
There is a large pullout couch and an oversized chair and ottoman in the main living room and a dining table that seats six.
The kitchen is clean, efficient, and outfitted with all of the necessary tools. All of the artwork featured throughout the house is by local artisans.
There are two bedrooms, both with oversized windows for plenty of light. The master has a queen bed with double closet. The second bedroom has a double and a twin bed with double closet.
Outdoors is a seating area with cedar Adirondack chairs made by a local craftsman and a Weber propane grill for your use.
There is plenty of parking for up to three vehicles. A full size washer and dryer are free to use as needed.
