"The cabin is beautifully furnished, well stocked and very cozy. The waterfront views were beautiful and nice to look out at while playing cards or eating breakfast at the dining room table. We traveled during the day to visit friends and sight see as the time of year was too cold for water sports. During warm weather this is a spectacular property for swimming and kayaking. Sunsets were beautiful along with the foliage and Northern Lights using our phone cameras. Eva was very accomodating!"

"This house was close to Portland in a nice, quiet neighborhood. It had plenty of space for me, my wife, and four kids. I love the care the owners take to make sure we have the comforts of home. It's fully stocked up with towels, toilet paper, kitchen cookware, you name it. They also took the time to label all of the light switches so you know how to turn everything one. We were very happy with our stay and highly recommend. The home itself was nice, but the care the owners took to make sure we had what we needed made it even better."

"Highly recommend! Even though our weather wasn’t perfect, we were able to enjoy the yard, the water, the screened in porch, and local area! We rented a boat from Goodhue, ate lunch at Frye Island Cafe, and ordered pizza from Portland Pie Company. The place has everything you need and more and we hope to be back! "

"Great house, location, hiking"

"The kids got to swim, jump off a floating platform, kayak & canoe, fish, roast marshmallows by the fire, and help me grill dinner. If any of these is your goal then this is a fantastic place to do it. There's also rentals for boats and jetskis nearby. The swim area is shaded starting in the afternoon. Property also included paddles for the kayaks/canoe as well as the requisite life jackets you'd need to go out. It's shared space, but we didn't have a problem finding a kayak or sharing the fire pit, deck, etc. The fishing was very good for the kids and they caught at least a dozen fish. Ashby was very responsive when we had an issue and got us a solution quickly. As for the downsides: As mentioned in other reviews, it is a tight spot: a small room w/ bed and couch + tiny kitchen + small bathroom, with a really nice screened porch. They gave us very nice airbeds for the kids which worked well. The bed itself was OK but mildly aggravated an existing back problem. Lots of bugs but that is too be expected, and we didn't see any ticks the entire week we were there. Overall fantastic spot. Perfect for us but mileage will vary depending on for what you are looking. "

"This house has a lot more space than is shown in the pictures. The bedrooms are large and the gathering spaces are as well. I wish there was more towels provided (one set for each guest) and more paper towels and toilet paper (two for each bathroom, 4 total for 12 guests for a week) provided or just communicated to us that this is what it would be. I also wish the association of the street was explained more to us, as we had encounters with some neighbors that weren’t too please we were there. I think more of a description of what was in the house and what we could use and not use on the beach could have been better. Overall the house is great and the location is great even though it looks closer to the beach in the pictures. We had a very enjoyable stay, but just had some suggestions that would have given it a perfect score. "
