Welcome to Castlehaven, our beautiful light-filled haven designed by noted local architect Bob Hartstock. Just a two minute walk from the Scenic Bluff Top Trail and Salal Cove, our house is located in the desirable north end of Sea Ranch. We are only a mile from the charming town of Gualala.

This lovingly and beautifully decorated home includes original artwork by a local artist, a private office, 2 master suite bedrooms, plus a private guest bedroom and 2 1/2 baths. The open living room borders on a dining area that seats 4, a music nook with a baby grand piano, and a fully-equipped kitchen with bar implements and glassware.

Outside in our spacious and private courtyard, you will enjoy outdoor dining, access to a BBQ, and a wonderful, soothing hot tub with a view of the night skies. Wildlife is abundant here. Wake to the sounds of the Ocean, and enjoy seeing birds, deer and fox right outside your window, and from the front patio.

The first master suite has French doors leading to a lovely private garden, and a large, heart-shaped Jacuzzi tub in the bathroom. The second master has a gorgeous view of the golf course and the ocean beyond. The third bedroom is a very private haven separate from the main house, across the courtyard from the hot tub. All bedrooms have queen size beds with memory foam mattresses. A washer and dryer are available, including soaps, and fabric softeners.

For our guest's enjoyment, we have a huge selection of books, movies on DVD, CDs, "streaming" TV, DirecTV and board games to while away your time when you are relaxing after being immersed in nature and all the activities of Sea Ranch. Please be aware that the fireplaces are non-functional because of problems with smoke and soot. Besides the Bluff Top Trail, there are three recreation centers with heated swimming pools, saunas, tennis, basketball and volleyball courts, 50+ miles of hiking trails, mountain biking trails, beautiful coastal views and hidden waterfalls. All this awaits you here at Castlehaven.

Perfect location
Loved our stay. We have been renting in Sea Ranch for over 40 years and this is our favorite! The location, short distance to the bluff and well maintained home made for an enjoyable and relaxing stay. The owner was friendly and easy to communicate with. We highly recommend Castlehaven!

Spacious serene epic

We enjoyed so much about this wonderful house...the layout, the ambience the location so close to the bluff and the many comfortable touches. Adding four sunny days was the icing on the cake. Sea Ranch is a wonderful place for family visits and this lovely place on Salal Cove was just the right spot for that.

Great Location, Comfortable Beds
The location of this property makes it easy to access the bluff walking trail which is beautiful. The three bedrooms have very comfortable beds. The third bedroom is a detached studio space, not in the house itself. Kitchen is well appointed so we were able to cook all our meals easily. Hot tub is situated in the private patio which made it more comfortable and protected from the gusty winds.

Great location just a few minutes from the bluff trail. Well equipped kitchen. New sofas and dining table. Easy check in and check out. Several outdoor seating areas, which we took advantage of as we had sunny weather.

Perfect!

Very happy with location at Sea Ranch. Very well appointed. And very roomy. We could separate as needed. Especially w studio room detached. Ours was a stormy weekend so we just holed in and read and watched movies and cooked. We will definitely rent again.

The home is wonderful. It is located close to the bluff with easy access. Wonderful views, quite, clean, and well appointed home. I would recommend for two couples as there is great separation between the bedroom suites. We enjoyed our stay and would rent again.

Another wonderful stay at Sea Ranch
This was our second visit to this property. We had another great stay. We enjoyed some great weather and beautiful scenery. The beds are extremely comfortable and we enjoyed the hot tub. We did have an issue with the hot water heater, but the owner John was responsive and communicative and the issue was resolved as soon as possible. We would definitely recommend this property and would stay here again.

Lovely home in heavenly Sea Ranch.
We had a great stay here, and the piano was a treat. The third bedroom is next to the garage and has no bathroom. Anyone in there would to come inside. The showers Are in the nice en suites for the other 2 bathrooms.

The house is beautifully designed and maintained, and the location in beautiful Sea Ranch, less than a block from the ocean, and right on the golf course, is superb. We've stayed in many SR houses over the years, and Castlehaven ranks among the best. Communication with the owner was above and beyond all expectations - as in answer the phone in less than 3 rings! We couldn't have been more satisfied with our stay.

52nd Anniversary
Great location and loved being so close to town. The hot tub was super clean and so relaxing. While the fireplaces are not usable, the home has a GREAT heating system that made the home so comfortable even when cold and/or rainy outside. Loved having one of the master suites on the ground floor so there were no stairs to climb. Only stairs necessary were two from the ground floor to the living/dining area. Only disappointment was that the greatest window to use to watch the ocean waves seems to have a leak between the panels causing condensation and takes the beautiful view away. The host was wonderful to work with, even staying on the phone until he was sure we had access to the key to get into the house. Castlehaven will defintely be put on our list of homes to visit again.

FANTASTIC FAMILY VENUE

Easter get away
Got together with a few girlfriends for a weekend getaway. We went for a long walks along the Bluffs and out to dinner in Gualala. It was a very relaxing weekend. This property is a great location close to town close to hiking trails right out the front and back door. The only thing, I would recommend is that you bring your own soap and shower gel there is no soap in any of the bathrooms except for hand soap. Also, it would be nice to have a couple bigger towels for the hot tub. Other than that everything is perfect. !!
