Ready for some rest, relaxation, and quality time with your loved ones? Look no further than this oceanview vacation rental in Sea Ranch, which boasts a private hot tub as well as room for a group of eight and a great location near the beach. Located within an easy quarter-mile stroll of Walk On Beach, this is a great place to enjoy proximity to the sea. Families traveling with children will enjoy the playground and picnic area just down the street!

Inside this three-bedroom, three-bathroom house you'll have plenty of space to spread out and relax. The living room is homey and welcoming, with wood-paneled walls and ample seating, as well as a large stone fireplace to keep the space warm on even the chilliest evenings. Sunlight streaming in through the many windows creates a very open space, and there's even an upright piano in case any musicians in your group feel like performing. Walk into the large kitchen, which is well equipped with all the standard appliances, plus double ovens, gorgeous cabinets, and pendant lighting. This is a great space for socializing while preparing meals, since it's open to the dining area. When it's time to eat, sit down at the dining room table or at the breakfast bar. A cozy windowseat provides the perfect place to sit with a mug of tea or glass of wine and look out the large windows at the scenery.

The main level of this home has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The first of these bedrooms has a king-size bed and the second has a queen bed. Upstairs is a fun loft area with a double-size futon, seating, a pool table, and plenty of space for the kids to set up their toys. The final bedroom and bathroom are in a unique crow's nest above the garage, detached from the main house. Up here you'll find a full-size bed, rustic details, and great views. This arrangement will be perfect for a couple to have their own space, or for a teen to have a room of their own where they can sleep in.

All in all, this house sleeps a total of eight guests. Though the inside spaces are delightful, the outdoor areas might be even better! There's a lovely deck area with ocean views, making it the perfect place to watch a sunset. Best of all, a private hot tub nestled in a fenced courtyard is ready and waiting to help you truly relax. Additionally, this home has a private laundry area just off the kitchen so you won't have to worry about what to do with crumpled or dirty clothes. Entertainment options include cable TV and board games, and you'll have access to a rec center, but let's face it - you're here to enjoy the beach and the relaxing atmosphere!

With easy beach access just along the Bluff Trail, it's a snap to get to the sandy shore of Walk On Beach. You can also walk to some other nearby stretches of sand, including Shell Beach, or spend an afternoon strolling along the the bluff or walking through the hedgerows. If you want to head to the nearest town for shopping or dining, check out Gualala, which is just four miles to the north. On the way there, you'll pass The Sea Ranch Golf Links. Spend a morning golfing then head into town for a leisurely lunch at Trinks Cafe in Gualala! You deserve a vacation, and this wonderful oceanview house in Sea Ranch is ready and waiting to provide the perfect backdrop for relaxation and fun!

Third bedroom was detached, and I was not informed of this. The area around the hot tub was a disaster, and the hot tub did not work. All the outdoor chairs were covered in cobwebs, and the barbecue pit was dirty. There was Frayed carpet in the bedroom and we cut our feet on the Tac strip.

Fun location
The house and location were fun. We were disappointed in the cleanliness of the house upon arrival. There were cobwebs throughout the house and the fountain next to the hot tub needed attention. There was an empty beer bottle and cigarette butt in the fountain. Overall we had a great time. The house could just use some TLC.

Great house
The house is well stocked and in a lovely location to be able to walk to all the beaches, we hardly needed the car at all. Our kids loved the loft and the layout is great for families. There were a couple of problems with firewood and propane but the local Vacasa office was very prompt in addressing them for us! The house could do with some basic maintenance from the owners, but it’s a lovely sea ranch house.

Lovely place,…. Vacasa, not so much
Our stay was incredible because of the dear friends with whom we shared the experience. Sea Ranch is one of my favorite places in earth. But we were frustrated by the fact that there was no hot water for most of our stay, and the Vacasa property management person who “assisted” us was extravagantly unhelpful. In fact, she seemed determined NOT to be helpful. Eventually a technician came - but the hot water was back off within hours. We were given a long list of suggestions as to how to find hidden breaker panels, and to service the water heater ourselves. None of which worked The series of sweetly bossy text messages caused an entire afternoon of unpleasantness and stress for me, my husband and our guests. I will go out of my way to avoid patronizing any property managed by Vacasa in the future. We received relentlessly cheerful - yet were served in an utterly frustrating and inexcusable manner.

Cleanliness and working appliances
For the most part it was great stay, but this place needs attention to cleanliness there is kid’s underwear in room by the bathroom behind the dresser, we found what looked like a humans ashes in a bag by the front door, we had no propane to cook or shower, the shower in the master bedroom seem to be broke was very hot when we wanted to take shower so we all had to use the hallway’s bathroom which also screamed at us the whole time while showering very loud, the screen door in master bedroom the shades are broken, the bbq pit was riddled with mold so I did my best to clean it, but the good thing was when I spoke to management they handled and were nice about it, I would still stay here again but when I do I’d make sure they have the main thing handled like propane and cleanliness taken cared of other than that this place was very magical and communication was good.

Will be back, but with more than just us!
Just the two of us, and here are our thoughts: *too big for two, would be great for a big fam, or three/four couples, w/or without kids *nice large kitchen, well stocked, double oven, gas stove, big fridge, plenty of pots, plates, etc *the track lighting over the sink and stove weren't working which made it hard to cook in the eve (approx 6 track lights) *not much of an ocean view, but a very quick walk to it! *hot tub nice and private, off the master, no view *a bit dated, but loved the originality and hominess of it *beds comfy enough and plenty of blankets *heating system worked awesome, had chilly mornings and warmed up quick *pool table and piano were fun, nice touches *played golf down the road (approx 2 miles away) *Gualala is close as well!! *would definitely stay here again with more fam or friends next time!

Great bones but desperately needs updating
This was our second stay, and while the house has great potential, it is in a state of disrepair. Beds need updating, oven doesn’t work, wall heater in the separate room over garage isn’t functioning properly. Definitely worth looking into once it gets a little TLC.

Amazing spot
We loved our stay at Norman House. The place was spacious, and had a great, rustic feel to it, with plenty of highlights, such as the recessed windows with comfy cushions and an excellent location. There were some definite signs of age, such as an unbearably squeaky bed (thankfully nobody had to sleep in it) and pretty weak showers, but it barely detracted from an overall amazing experience. Highly recommended.

Good home but not in great condition
Great location - esp. for kids. Beaches are nearby, as is playground, and the home is spacious and accomodates a group. It is older and not well maintained (stove did not work, kitchen faucet is shakey, furniture and fixtures are generally worn and somewhat stained) but the pictures and reviews should made that no surprise. A bit stingy on cleaning supplies (used kitchen sponge, for example) required a small stocking up purchase at the local grocery store for a few things. Building manager seemed responsive enough (supplied a temp counter top stove for us) and the price was not "top tier" so we did not expect top tier conditions. Come prepared for that and you should be happy enough as the location and house itself is good.

Think Twice
Sea ranch the destination always great, this home not so. Location is nice but like so many of the reviews this home needs updating. Track lighting in kitchen did not work burnt out bulb over DR table, light switches to god only knows what or where. The down draft for the cooktop does not work, the pool table and cues are in need of repair. Barbecue is very touchy either way to hot or the flames just blow out. If you are planning on having a couple in the casita be aware that it is very small and has a distinct musty quality to it. Hot tub has been updated and is nice. We did request and were denied a early check in so when we arrived 15 min early we were surprised to see someone at the house, I guess they didn’t trust us. So think twice about this one, for the money we expected more.

House needs repairs!!
We had a wonderful week IN SPITE OF this house, not because of it!! I had been in this house some 20 years ago and nothing has changed!! The bathroom door still doesn't lock, the carpet is still stained and worn. There are still no improvements to the lighting. They have added a TV but set it in an awkward spot. Sit on the arm of the couch to watch! The roof leaks! Terribly loud heater in "King" room. The pool table still has a torn pocket but it doesn't really matter because none of the cues have any tips and they have been used anyway causing great damage to the felt. Removing it and putting in a good bed would be helpful. The hot tub kept us awake all night the first night.(outside master) When we checked it in the morning, we found that either the last renter or the service person had left a water feature and the jets on and the water was hitting the cover and draining from the tub. We turned it off and filled the tub. None of our group used the hot tub. You would think someone would check to make sure the tub was in good shape after the last renters. The "rustic" apartment has a very serious termite(?) problem. Our Granddaughter got showered with termite "debris" while she slept and discovered little piles all over the place in the light of the next day!! I will credit the manager with trying to respond to our problems and they did have a termite service come out and treat it but it was unusable for the week. Housekeeping must have noticed the termite mess if they were cleaning on a regular basis! They also should have caught the hot tub problem. This is a house that could be wonderful but for lack of a caring owner has fallen in total disrepair! Vacasa should maintain certain standards to assure confidence in booking! These houses are NOT cheap! Other than that we had a great week!

Mostly amazing, some problems
This house was very fun + generally as advertised and the location and vibe could not have been better. However there were some big issues. There were termites in the 3rd bedroom whose droppings all fell on the pillow of the bed. I appreciate there's only so much that can be done to prevent something like this...but it rendered that bedroom unusable (we did not want to just move the bed...). The hot water heater kept going out. Maintenance came out to fix it the first time, and i re-lit it the next 2-3 times, but hot water was unreliable. Vacasa and local maintenance were very helpful and responsive, but being down a bedroom (with two families with infants) and not having hot water for a lot of the stay definitely made for a more stressful trip than hoped-for.

Spacious, well laid out house in the best part of Sea Ranch. Third bedroom is a little funky as it is outside the main house and over the workshop. Some deffered maintenance that needs to be done. Managed by Vacasa which was responsive, but unable to fix an issue with the heater so we had no heat all weekend.

handsome house that needs some maintenance
We have stayed in this house over the years and have enjoyed the mix of communal spaces and privacy. Location is wonderful. This time, there were problems that needed attention, like the leaking bay window by the fireplace and the low water pressure, and problems that had had incomplete attention, like the sawdust in the bathroom and the burnt out light bulbs. All are inconveniences that could have been fixed by the time anyone else rents the house.

Perfect
House has great bones, with anticipated future renovations, it should be a terrific vacation rental. The house was perfect for our party of eight for the five days during our niece's wedding on that Saturday in One Eye Jack's Park. The hot tub was amazing off the back bedroom. JoAnn who manages the property was very responsive to our needs. Can't wait for renovations and stay again.

Cozy, rustic, though certainly outdated
My five girlfriends and I really enjoyed our weekend getaway in this home. It fulfilled our main objective: to relax and enjoy each other's company. The kitchen was very well stocked (a MUST for a remote food desert like SEA Ranch). Though there was every spice imaginable in the cupboard, I was shocked to find there was no SALT or PEPPER. This is not the fault of the vacation rental company, of course, but just thought future visitors may find the information useful. Also, the garbage disposal wasn't working when we arrived. We let the rental company know at checkout so I'm sure they will get it fixed. The beds were comfortable enough, though they seem to be on the end of their life. The mattress creaked whenever I moved. It didn't bother me, but it could bother a light sleeper. There was room to fit the 6 of us with PLENTY of room to spare. The house is quite spacious. All the furniture is dated, but quite comfy. The bathrooms left something to be desired. The shower heads were VERY low. I'm 5'9" and the water pointed at my neck. This is an easy fix and I hope someone reading this changes out the shower fixtures so that moderately tall people like me don't have to stoop to get their hair wet. We were also disappointed that there were only 6 smallish towels in the entire house for six 30-something year old women. Our fault for not asking for more, really, but just another word to the wise for future renters to ask for extras. The hottub was newer and big enough to fit all 6 of us comfortably, though it is strangely facing the wrong direction so that one has to climb in over the large water filter to get in. Short walk to the beach. We watched sea lions from a distance out on the rocks and the recent rains had left us with a nice little waterfall in the cliffside. All-in-all I feel like we got our money's worth.
