We have stayed here many times before and since last stay downstairs has been revamped,only thing is looks like small single rooms have been turned into doubles,not enough room to swing a cat,washing in sink had to be done with bathroom door open,we never used shower as it was all too small and hard to manouevre round in,door had number lock on but lights never came on so that was frustrating,this was room 7,sorry but we wont be staying again.

This would’ve been a hands down top rated review, however, two fundamentals let the room down: 1. It was absolutely freezing. I did contact the hotel managers who seemed confused it was off, but during my two days the heating came on and off at the same time both days (circa 5.00-8.30) 2. The mattress seemed to be a water mattress which was so hard(surprisingly) and very uncomfortable. Great idea to avoid bed bugs but couldn’t sleep on that type again. These two factors are to me very important when staying at a roomtel. Understandably it could be to save on bills regarding the heating but tbh that’s a foreseeable expense which should be accounted for, not one that caused detriment to those who have paid to stay. Apart from those two things, it really can’t be faulted, facilities and decor spot- on and location is too. Would consider staying again during the warmer months

Proximity to the train station was key for me . It was less than 5 minutes walking . My accommodations were spotless and the bed was very comfortable . There was a living room , full kitchen and laundry area for use of tenants . Jan was very pleasant and went out of her way to help me . I would use this facility again .

Room was large and en suite had a large shower. Very clean. Comfy bed. Had everything you need, even a kitchen if you wanted to cook meals and a fridge to store any food.
