Scillato is a small gem located in the heart of Sicily, on the edge of the Parco delle Madonie, considered a world heritage site. Its proximity to part of the Sicilian Apennines favored the birth of the village due to the presence of water springs, which is why the area is home to 14 mills dating back to the 19th century, some still in operation. Like the rest of Sicily, Scillato is a place with ancient culinary traditions and rich in typical products, including olives, apricots and tasty oranges to which a festival is also dedicated. The town is strategically located for visiting nearby Cefalù, home to some of the island's most beautiful beaches, Polizzi Generosa, with magnificent views of the Madonie Mountains, and Palermo with its countless UNESCO World Heritage sites.
Guests can reach the accommodation by car from the airport of Palermo, which is around 100 km away, or from the airport of Catania, 150 km away. If you are flying to the island, we suggest renting a car at the airport. Do not hesitate to contact us for more information and suggestions, we will be happy to assist you.
