"This is the 3rd time I’ve stayed at the Lamm, the 2 previous times it was as a couple this time I was a solo traveller. I had a single room and was pleasantly surprised (not having stayed in a single room before) the room had a fridge that came in handy, and a view of the valley from the balcony. The balcony had a seat so could chill out on. The restaurant was fully booked but as was a resident they found me a table, the food was lovely. The hotel isn’t actually in Baiersbronn, it’s some 2.5 miles out. As I said this was the 3rd time there and would definitely make it a 4th"

"The staff and hotel were absolutely wonderful! I cannot say enough wonderful things about the gentleman that went above and beyond for us! We had booked the hotel last minute and he was so accommodating from the very beginning!! His kindness will never be forgotten. The rooms were beautiful and clean and so spacious! We would stay there again in a heartbeat. "

"Honestly, the staff here are some of the most patient, kind, and generous folks you will ever meet. My only gripe is that the WiFi was very poor and caused issues when in virtual meetings. However, the staff were splendid and am happy to have stayed here. "

"Stayed 1 night at Sombea on the way to Switzerland and thought it was excellent. The restaurant and bar on property was great for dinner, drinks, and breakfast the following morning. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and the hotel itself was in great condition. The only knock was that the air conditioning system was not working and although it wasn't hot, it was a bit muggy because of the rain we had that night. Still slept soundly but we could have been a bit more comfortable. By the time we discovered that it wasn't working, it was too late at night and there was no one to fix it. One excellent feature of the hotel was the on-property cigar lounge, although during our 1-night stay it was full of cigarette smokers. I would still highly recommend this hotel as a stopover on the way to somewhere else."

"Room lovely, large and modern, beautifully furnished. Breakfast top class, good choice of quality bread, meats, cereal, yoghurt etc. Lovely walk to Schiltach. Nice area. Nice bakery opposite. On check in, we arrived very early. I just went to reception to let them know we arrived, not expecting to necessarily check in, and stated we were early, we knew. Still got told off by lady on reception, which was not necessary. Then the evening meal was disappointing, hard over cooked chips , my wifes fish had a tasteless sauce, very mediocre meal for the price. I had stayed at this hotel some 2 years ago, food then was good, but very average now. For B&B, this hotel is excellent. Just reconsider the evening meal."
