"Our castle stay was pretty amazing. Very modern rooms and the availability to roam the property made it a great stay. It was also very helpful that the staff spoke English and were so kind. A nice final touch was them sharing a bottle of their wine with us as we departed. A must do!"

"Seehaus was absolutely beautiful. The grounds and gardens were a dream to walk though. The location and village were peaceful, and I can't speak more highly of it. The space itself was HUGE, clean, and we'll stocked with household items. The hosts were kind, and gave us privacy. Location is only 30min drive from Rothenburg, but far away from the zounds of tourists. Some day when I have more time, I would love to come back for a longer retreat. Thank you so much for hosting us!"

"The hosts, Jurgen and Irina were very welcoming, friendly and informative about how to make the most of our week in this beautiful estate. Most of the literature is in German but can be easily translated using a suitable German camera translation app. The sauna and swimming pool are amazing and spotlessly clean, as was the apartment which was equipped with pretty much everything you need to have a comfortable stay. The key tourist towns of Bamberg, Wurzburg and Rothenburg are within an hour by...

" A nice family run hotel in a charming quiet medevial Franconian village along the Main River with vinyards on the hills above. Seems to have been fairly recently renovated. Friendly English speaking staff. We were able to upgrade our room to a much larger room. The busy hotel restaurant is the big draw here and we ate breakfast (included buffet) and dinner there 3 times. Many good quality food choices. We spoke to a young professional couple at the table next to us and they come to this hotel restaurant for dinner from 10 miles away on a monthly basis so that says something. After staying 3 nights in Wertheim we moved our base to this hotel to cover other areas including visiting: Wurzburg, Rothenburg, Iphofen (restaurant: Kulinarium), and other surrounding area towns. Easy 10 minute drive to main highway. The hotel has a courtyard with parking for a fee but we parked for free 5 minutes down the street along the Main River and enjoyed watching the ships on the river and walking through the old town. Typical Franconian dish we would recommend trying is "Schaufele" which is tender and delicious pork shoulder."
