The Space:
Cayton Bay Cottage is a stunning detached property carefully curated with relaxation and comfort in mind. Boasting an enclosed garden, open plan kitchen and dining area, a living room, plus three bedrooms, there is ample space for the whole family.
On the ground floor, you’ll find the living room, kitchen and a downstairs WC.
Benefiting from two sofas and a flat screen Smart TV with Freeview, the living room is perfect for relaxing. In the summer, open the French doors and let the warm breeze drift in as you relax.
At the rear of the property, accessible via the french doors, there is an enclosed garden space which boasts both a lawned and patio area. A real treat at Cayton Bay Cottage, this private space is ideal for alfresco dining. Start your day with a coffee in the sunshine or enjoy a glass of bubbly as the evening draws in.
Ultra stylish, the kitchen features white cabinets and marble style worktops. Amenities include an oven, hob, microwave, toaster, kettle, fridge freezer and dishwasher so Cayton Bay Cottage is fully equipped for self-catering stays. Enjoy meals with your loved ones at the dining area which consists of a wooden dining table and matching, padded chairs.
Take the stairs up to the first floor and you’ll find three cosy bedrooms and the family bathroom.
The first bedroom features a king size bed and an en suite shower room, while the bedroom includes a comfortable double bed.
Great for children, the third bedroom includes single bunk beds. All three bedrooms at Cayton Bay Cottage have a tranquil feel and premium bed linens to ensure a comfortable night's sleep.
A pull out bed is also available at Cayton Bay Cottage which can be made up upon request if this is more suitable for your stay.
The family bathroom has marble style tiles complemented with immaculate white fittings. Modern and clean, there is a bathtub with an overhead shower, a WC and a wash basin.
Guest Access:
Guests have access to the full property. The keys to Cayton Bay Cottage are accessed via a secure key safe and full details will be provided shortly before your arrival date.
Private on-site parking is available for up to three vehicles. Please note that the garage only acts as a games room, and not a parking area.
A double sofa bed is available in the living room which can be made up upon request, increasing the occupancy of Cayton Bay Cottage to 8.
The Neighborhood:
The pretty village of Cayton is home to a variety of amenities including shops, restaurants and bars, along with a golf course and leisure centre, of which are just a short walk away from Cayton Bay Cottage. Cayton Bay is the quietest of Scarborough’s three beaches and boasts a sweeping bay with a rural feel.
When staying in Cayton, you’ll be within easy reach of beautiful beaches, vibrant coastal towns, and the stunning North York Moors National Park.
Located just four miles away from Cayton, Scarborough is packed with seaside charm. You’ll find plenty of pubs, restaurants and cafes to discover as well as arcades and ice cream parlours here.
There are a number of beaches for you to choose from. The popular South Bay is a sun trap and close to the hustle and bustle of the town centre. North Bay has been accredited with Blue Flag status meaning it’s one of the best beaches in Europe! Lastly Cornelian Bay is the remotest and hardest to get to but it’s a hidden gem and often empty.
Ideal for all weathers, there are lots of indoor attractions in Scarborough for the whole family. Head to Sea Life Sanctuary to see seals, penguins, sharks, turtles and more or Scarborough Castle to explore its 3000 year history. If it’s outdoor fun you’re looking for, The Open Air Theatre is a short minute walk from the apartment where you can see amazing bands, singers and comedians. There is also the Sky Trail Adventure and Peasholm Park nearby.
Getting Around:
Cayton is within a 15 minute drive of all that Scarborough has to offer and within 45 minutes’ drive time of Whitby and Bridlington.
Scarborough Train Station is a short drive away and has routes to Bridlington, York, Hull and Sheffield.
Hop on the 12 bus route and you can travel directly into Scarborough, or visit the neighbouring seaside spots of Filey and Bridlington. The X93 from Scarborough travels through to Middlesbrough with drop offs in Robin Hood’s Bay and Whitby.
