Welcome to your oasis in the city, Metro Bungalow: The Benjamin. If you're coming to Savannah to explore, and want swanky digs to settle into, look no further! This cheery, fun and posh bungalow is situated in the Starland District, which is in walking distance to so many outstanding venues, restaurants and bars. Don't fret, you're only a short Uber drive downtown to the action, and a quick walk over to Forsyth Park.

Beyond the quintessential southern exterior, you'll step into The Benjamin, with a totally different vibe inside. This bungalow has been completely renovated and furnished with tasteful decor, bright colors, and a selfie wall - bachelorette certified! The open floor plan is an entertainers dream, as you'll have plenty of space to spread out, gather together, play games and never feel separated from the rest of the group. Whether you're whipping up your "famous" cocktails, or preparing a home cooked meal, you'll have everything you need in the well-equipped kitchen.

Down the hall, you'll find the powder room, where you'll find a surprise - Mr. Benjamin Franklin himself! Just down yonder, the first guest suite is fitted with a plush queen size bed, and a wardrobe rack for all of your posh outfits. In-between both suites, you'll find the extremely spacious full-size bathroom, that features an elegant quartz dual vanity, with an ample amount of counter space and a shower/tub combination. At the end of the hall, the second guest suite additionally features a queen size bed, dresser and even a standing desk - perfect for those who need to get some work done!

Out back, the true oasis awaits - Bamboo acts as a privacy barrier from neighbors around and you'll forget you're even in the city! The deck is equipped with a fabulous pergola that can be open or closed, to keep you out of the sun even on the hottest days. Whether you're gathered around having a morning cup of coffee, an evening glass of wine, or grilling out, everyone will always have plenty of space.

Non-metered Parking - This unit has free, on-street parking right outside the front door. Availability will depend on time of day and season. Our guests have not reported trouble parking near the home, even on the busiest of weekends.

I stayed here with my mom and wife during St. Patrick’s Day weekend and this was perfect. Very clean, walking distance to the parade and river street. The back patio was great for sitting outside and relaxing. I was still able to find parking across the street. Also there are some good spots to eat a block away in both directions

Well appointed conveniences in the kitchen. Though it often rained for our time there, there was a very nice small outside patio. The sofa in the living room should be replaced with something much more sturdy. We were always "on eggshells" when we sat on it, with its spindly legs. Everything else was fine. If that changed, we would stay again.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Beautiful home. Very clean, nice rehab and decor, all amenities needed were provided; quiet and centrally located in town. My only complaint is none of the seating indoors nor outdoors were comfortable; too many hard surfaces (needed cushions) and the couch was actually a settee and not full sized nor well cushioned. No TVs in the bedrooms and the living room TV was too small and should have been mounted on the wall. In short, the house was uncomfortable to relax and hang out in. An plus for this home besides more comfortable surfaces would have been a privacy screen between the connected decks, a way to control the outdoor motion sensor lights and a hot tub. Just my opinion.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Unit was located on a somewhat shabbier block in the area. Home itself is newly renovated with new fixtures and furnishings. Living room is tiny and living room seating is non existent. There is a very small bench type seat and two hard plastic chairs. They did what they could with the space but not having at least a comfortable two seat couch was a deal breaker for us and we basically could not watch tv as a family or even individually due to the seating arrangement. Overall very small house - one side of a small rowhouse type structure. Beds were comfortable and bathrooms were clean and functional. Bedrooms have no closet space and very little storage options. No where to put your luggage and a few furniture items that allow clothes to be hung. Best aspect is that the unit was an extremely good value and clean. Not very functional and would not recommend. For families but perfect for a smaller group who maybe didn’t plan on using the unit for more than a home base to sleep. Management company is fantastic. This is our third rental with them and again a great experience. We booked late so had little choice in available units so that is our fault.
