Orange Kayak House - Heated Private Pool

New heated private pool! Central location, just 18 minutes from Historic Downtown Savannah and 30 minutes from the beach, this home is part of a bird sanctuary and waterfront community. The private community boat ramp is across the street and at the end of the block giving you easy access to the Vernon River. Bring your kayaks, canoes or motorboats and explore the salt marsh and barrier islands of Coastal Georgia. This home is located next door to the Blue Kayak House, which sleeps 8. If you have a large group, check for availability of both houses.

From the moment you walk in the front door you feel like you are home. The open concept living room, dining room and kitchen are vaulted and look out onto the travertine patio and pool, bringing the outside in. The kitchen is fully equipped including a dishwasher and microwave. Two counter stools in the kitchen ready for great conversations while cooking, or enjoying a morning cup of coffee. The dining table is set for 8. The living room has a 50" flat screen television with cable and Netflix. Pair your iPhone to the Sony stereo and enjoy your tunes! There are two master bedrooms in this divided floor plan. One to the right of the living room/dining room and the other to the left, in the bedroom wing. Both masters have en suite bathrooms. There are two more bedrooms, one with a bunk bed (twin upper, full lower, twin trundle) and the other with a Queen bed. There is another full bathroom on the hall near the two bedrooms. The water heater is on demand, so hot water is never a problem or issue. All bedrooms have lamps with USB ports and outlets for convenient phone charging.

Backyard/patio and heated pool (up to 88 degrees) fenced with a 6' privacy fence and there is a built in gas grill for your use. Let me know if you need the pool heated during your stay.

Please do not decorate, nail or tape to the walls or moldings. No glitter or confetti of any kind is allowed.

There is a double driveway giving you lots of off street parking.

The house is located very conveniently nearby downtown, Tybee Island and any other events or sights you might want to see. The house was very clean, the pool was fantastic, and the neighborhood quiet. My family and I loved our stay!

Savannah Work Trip Stay

What a great place!
Was here for family girls’ trip with my 90 year old mom, my sister, daughters and niece. The bedrooms and bathrooms were excellent for 6 people and everything was ready for us. The pool was fantastic, although it rained on our lazy day so we didn’t get to enjoy it as much as we wanted to. Great restaurants near by and an easy drive into historic Savannah for touring and eating. Host was always quick and polite with any responses, but I didn’t need much interaction since the house was set up so well. We would definitely stay here again for another visit.

The house was in a quiet neighborhood. Nice and clean. Low water pressure shower heads.. Pool was changed ...no chairs in it. Older picture of the pool. All in all I would definitely stay again.

Great location, quick drive to downtown and beaches. The heated pool was definitely a bonus. We had 6 adults and a baby with plenty of space. Kitchen was well-stocked with housewares and appliances. Owner/manager very responsive. We stayed here a week after Hurricane Helene and owners had worked hard cleaning up debris. Would definitely recommend.

Mike & Wendy were wonderful hosts. Great communication and super helpful. House was perfect for our family. Pool was gorgeous and so well kept. Bedrooms were comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked! Everything was tight of - from shampoo to makeup cloths. Kids loved walking to the boat house. Very kind owners. Dog-friendly too! Just so thankful for this beautiful place.

Relaxing House for a Large Family
We stayed at the orange Kayak House for a family wedding instead of booking hotel rooms and it was the best decision ever. The heated pool was a huge hit with the grands, especially in November! The house was spacious, clean, and well appointed. We are so glad we chose this house for our family of 6 adults and 5 children for this wedding weekend.

Family reunion
I needed a place in the Savannah area to host our first family get together since pre Covid. This one fit the bill entirely. Nice clean house, and true to the online description. Super cute, quiet neighborhood and very near stores as well as an easy drive to downtown or the beaches. We had 6 adults staying at the house with 3 adults and 2 kids day tripping over. Such a great space to host a small gathering like ours…we spent most of our time in the backyard swimming, grilling and hanging out under a nicely finished canopy area. We also took a lot of walks over to the creek area around the corner, and my wife and I even took the kayaks out for a good long paddle(just be sure to time the tides because it can get awfully mucky if you don’t!). There’s really nothing negative I can say about this place, it really was the perfect setting for a long overdue reunion with lots of wonderful memories made 😊

The place was awesome and exactly as described. The hosts were very helpful and provided us lots of recommendations from food to fishing charters. We would recommend this stay to anybody. The place is not TOO close to busy Savannah but yet close enough that everything was a sling-shot distance away.

House was perfect for what we needed. We were in town for a baseball tournament and had 3 families with 3 kids and there was plenty of room. The pool kept the boys entertained. They had so much fun! The house has everything you might need. The kayaks were great, too! Our boys explored the marshes in the kayaks almost daily. Thanks for a great trip!

Great backyard
This place was great. Nice and clean. The back yard was the best feature of the house. You can BBQ, lounge, sun bathe, or just enjoy the heated pool (which has some nice lighting at night). The check in was a breeze. The only issue for us is that you are not really close to anything. You have to drive around everywhere. But other than that, great place.

This was the perfect house for our family vacation, 11 people total! The pool was a big hit! We couldn’t keep the kids out of it. The backyard was definitely our favorite part! It was convenient location to downtown, the beach, and lots of stores within a few miles for quick access to food/groceries. The hosts were quick to respond to any questions. Cozy cottage that's not too far from anything
Comfortable place and great backyard (as advertised!), but the best part is it's truly not too far from anything you need in Savannah with a car. The backyard is fantastic for entertaining. The interior isn't the fanciest place in the world but is well maintained and has everything you need for a comfortable stay - you shouldn't be sitting inside anyways! My only recommendation is this should not be listed as a property that sleeps 12. There is bed space for 10 max, even with guests being children. The only way it would be 12 is if two slept on the L shaped couch but it isn't a sleeper sofa.

My family and I travel to Savannah for my son's wedding. The house was perfect! It had enough bedrooms for all of us. The pool was great. The location is perfect! The owners were great at answering any emails that I sent to them. I would certainly stay here again.
