Loft by River Street and City Market

Summary:
A charming Historic District one bedroom, one bathroom loft across from City Hall, steps to River Street, City Market, shopping, restaurants and bars.

This fully updated loft in the heart of Savannah's Historic District is perfect for one to two guests. It has been fully updated with charm to maintain the Historic District touch. The apartment offers all the amenities. you're looking for in a Savannah vacation rental. If this is your first trip to Savannah, this is a perfect location.

The Space:
The living room is inviting and relaxing after a day out in town. Comfortably lounge and cast your favorite shows on the living room's large television. The kitchen is located just a few steps away. The kitchen in Bay Street Loft Unit 204 is fully furnished with stainless steel appliances, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, and coffee maker so you can either cook, enjoy your takeout meals, or make your morning coffee. The apartment has your own private washer-dryer setup just off of the kitchen.

The bedroom features an ultra-comfortable queen-sized bed in an understated layout. This bedroom features a platform bed with accompanying night table for a "mod" look. There's also a small closet in the bedroom. The home's spacious full-sized bathroom features a full-sized tub with shower option.

The Neighborhood:
Overlooking beautiful Bay Street and across from City Hall, this Savannah loft rental is tough to beat when it comes to location.

Because you are short walk to restaurants, shops, bars, museums, parks and all of the other charms of the city, building an itinerary will be easy. A walk down Bull Street to see some of our favorite squares and landmarks nearby -- Forsyth Park, Chippewa Square (site where Forest Gump ate a box of chocolates), The Mercier Williams House, Pin Point Heritage Museum, Bonaventure Cemetery and Telfair Academy.

If you're coming to Savannah to shop and dine, City Market is a pedestrian-only zone with restaurants, galleries, shops, and live music.

Of course, no trip to Savannah is really complete until you've "partied" at River Street. The hub for live music and bars, River Street is a great place to watch the cruise ships pass by with a mint julep in your hand!

In addition to being one of America's most beautiful cities, Savannah is also considered to be one of the spookiest spots in the country! Take an opportunity to partake in a haunted walking tour or pub crawl while you're here.

You can't come to Savannah without hearing the locals chattering about the next big festival that's about to hit town. Savannah hosts many food festivals, music festivals, art festivals and cultural events throughout the year. The list of events to keep on your radar as you plan your vacation dates includes Savannah Restaurant Week, the Savannah Book Festival, the Savannah Tour of Homes and Gardens, the Sidewalk Arts Festival, the Savannah Music Festival, the River Street Fourth of July Celebration, the Gourmet Seafood and Spirits Festival and the Savannah Jazz Festival.

Close to everything
The apt. was very clean, just some mold on the shower tile. Would be nice if the windows had blinds to go along with the curtains. The apt. is in a great location as all the bars, restaurants and historical attractions are within walking distance. We parked the car on Friday and did not use it until checkout on Monday. We planned to go to Tybee Island but did not because there was so much to do where we were. If walking isn't for you, I recommend the trolley ride as there are 14 stops from River St. to MLK. We will definitely plan a longer stay next visit so that we can do all that we planned and then some.
