Perfect spot
The house location was ideal for our needs. I loved watching the freighters. The house was just a described with a few upgrades (washer and dryer) than what is pictured. Well equipped and beds were comfy. We definitely will be back!

Great location
What a great place to have as a home base for any Sault Ste. Marie experience. The drive into town is quick and scenic. If you just want to stay in, the views over the water are gorgeous and peaceful. Darlene is very responsive and helpful. Looking forward to returning for another stay to explore more of the UP!

By far the nicest location
We enjoyed the Cardinal Nest, my husband is a ship geek and watched the ships pass by the river, day and night. We enjoyed the view of the deer, geese, mallards, loons and the occassional eagles. 3 miles from town, easy drive to the locks. Highly recommend, the house was comfortable and the huge picture window off the living room was amazing. We we revisit this location again.

The house was easy to find. The views are amazing! It was a great place to rest after spending the day on a Soo Locks tour. There was only one bathroom. Also, the grass area for viewing the freighters has had lots of geese so be careful where you step.

Girls get-a-way
This was a girls weekend for my mom, her sister and my friend. The property is very nice and there is a nice place to sit where you can watch the boats pass by. The large picture window in the living room is also great for this. The seating in the living room is great for relaxing and visiting. Appreciated the timely and clear communication with the host.

Dream stay for big ship enthusiasts
Great location, minutes from town and seconds from the marina, with lots of birds and beautiful scenery to see. Beautiful views of the Saint Mary’s River, and great views of the freighters as well. We loved seeing the gorgeous sunrise from big picture window in the living room and from the sweet patio. We’ll definitely be looking to come up for a longer stay!

Freighter Watching
Great location for freighter watching! Less than 5 minutes to Rotary Park where you are up close to freighters as they go by and captains give a salute. Also close to all downtown Soo has to offer and the locks. Host was very accommodating. Home was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. Would definitely stay again in the future!
