And most of the place we visited were only 30 mins drive away. Abbevile close with great train links to Paris where we spent a great day and Amiens just over an hour drive Was about 1 hour 30 mins drive to visit the world war 1 memorial sites, well worth the drive. "The property is a lovely old fishermans cottage. Set over 2 floors and with an adequately equipped kitchen and bathroom. Close enough to the centre of Le Crotoy to stroll to, yet far enough away from the centre for peace and quiet. This made a great base for our visit to the area. We would definitely stay there again."

"Despite it being very low season and most of St Valery sur Somme being shut for annual holidays, we had a lovely time. We were aware beforehand that this was the case. We have stayed at this lovey Gite before and it was fabulous then. Situated in the heart of the town it has beautiful views over the bay and is a lovely cosy fisherman’s cottage. Great facilities and beautifully clean. The check in was as easy as always and we hope to stay again. Thank you."

"We had a really good stay and found the accommodation extremely good with the single exception of parking - this is complicated and not free (unless you want a 20 minute walk to your car) but, given how central it is, close to the square, shops and restaurants, this wasn't a problem. There are lots of great walks and a trip on the railway is a must! The owners have prepared a very detailed and comprehensive set of guides, so everyone will find something they like. Highly recommended."

"A little disappointed! Unfortunately we arrived in wet weather and couldn't gain access to the property. We assumed that we would be met, but apparently we needed to contact the non English speaking caretaker and our french is not conversational. Fortunately we were able to contact the owner who was able to arrange access. "This property is the worst we have ever stayed in. It was filthy, the dishes in the kitchen were cracked and dirty. The stairs to the bedrooms are a ladder and my Mum couldn’t get up and down them. The boiler didn’t work properly and actually broke on the last day leaving us no hot water. There was a smashed window in my daughters bedroom which I told the owner about and he didn’t even respond. This place is not fit to be rented."

"Très bon séjour dans l’ensemble et équipement adapté à un joli week-end. La vue de la chambre est belle et la façade « petite maison de pêcheur » est charmante. Emplacement idéal à Saint Valéry sur Somme avec une excellente boulangerie en bas de la rue. Petit bémol : l’équipe de nettoyage est arrivé à 9h55 le dimanche, pour une heure de départ à 10h. J’étais à l’heure mais encore en train de ranger mes dernières affaires et j’ai trouvé que c’était un peu abrupte comme fin de séjour… "

"Second time staying at Tresors d'Opale and not the last! It's a lovely property, clean and very comfortable with quality kitchen and beds. The delicious bakery is 2 mins walk away and the beautiful beach about 5/10 mins walk either through town or the dunes. We love Le Touquet but find this place relaxing and much quieter...and cheaper! This time, we didn't like the fact we were in an inter-connecting room, we could hear every noise and conversation from next door, so make sure you don't get one...
