You have full access to the entire house, except to the one locked door leading to the basement.

Here are a few important things to keep in mind during your stay:

Families with young children are more than welcome, but please note that our house has multiple stairs and balconies that have not been childproofed, the cottage is not childproofed at all.

Each room has its own temperature control so you can adjust the AC and heat to your liking.

We've got you covered with bed linens, kitchen towels, hand towels, bathmats, dish soap, hand soap, dishwasher detergent, laundry detergent, toilet paper, paper towels, and tissue boxes.

Please remember to bring:
Bath and beach towels
All toiletries you may need

To help keep our cottage clean, please refrain from wearing shoes inside. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate pets and our house is strictly non-smoking and non-vaping. Please purchase any firewood locally and supervise the firepit when in use. For safety reasons, fireworks are not permitted on the property.

Our cottage can accommodate up to 10 people maximum. Extra guests will incur an additional charge, and all guests must be registered. To respect our neighbors and the town bylaws, please keep noise levels down between 11pm-7am. Lastly, no parties are allowed.

We have a ringdoor bell to welcome all guests, it is not activley recording.

In the Neighbourhood;
Enjoy the Main beach which is a quick 2 minute walk from the cottage. Walk along the shores of Port Huron and enjoy the beautiful sunsets. Plus, the cottage is just a 5-minute drive away from Southampton, 25 minutes away from Sauble Beach, and 25 minutes from Inverhuron Beach, making it a perfect base for exploring some of the most stunning beaches in Ontario. Sauble Beach is known for its white sand and clear water, attracting visitors from all over the world.

Downtown is a short 15-20 min walk to the local restaurants, bistros and shops. Indulge in a delicious meal or pick up some souvenirs to take home from your trip. There are many hiking and biking trails, parks, splash pad and rental of water toys in the area, all within a walking distance, offering plenty of opportunities to explore the natural beauty of Port Elgin.

For those who love golfing, the cottage is surrounded by several golf courses, perfect for an afternoon game. Take a leisurely stroll on one of the many walking trails in the area, or visit the nearby McGregor Point Provincial Park, which offers winter camping options.

And for those who crave adventure, Port Elgin offers plenty of options. From zip-lining and biking to fishing charters, there's something for everyone. Plus, the cottage is just a 30-minute drive away from Kincardine and an hour and 25 minutes away from Tobermory, a popular tourist destination known for its crystal-clear waters and stunning natural scenery.

If you're looking for unique experiences, head to the Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre, where you can learn about the history of the area, or visit the Port Elgin Farmers Market to pick up fresh, locally-grown produce. Take a tour of the nearby cideries and breweries, such as the Thornbury Village Cidery, Grey Matter Beer Company, and the MacLean's Ales Inc. brewery, for a taste of the local brews.
