Plus, an outdoor shower, wood-burning fireplace, and amazing views the Saugatuck dunes and woodland. Did we mention there’s a bar?
The Treetop’s unique, vintage cottages come with a spectacular location. Perched on top of a 50-foot dune, the complex is positioned directly across the lake from downtown Saugutuck. As the primary means of access to Lake Michigan, the harbor is perpetually full of boats, music, and other fun sights.
It’s also a short 15 minute dune hike (or 2-minute drive) to award-winning Oval Beach, named in Condé Nast Traveler’s Top 25 Beaches in the World, National Geographic Traveler’s Top Freshwater Beaches in the USA, and MTV’s Top 5 Beaches in the USA.
Dining in the Dune Buggy is as rustic as the cottage. Outside, your experience is elevated by a gas grill and plenty of outdoor seating. The inside bar doesn't cater to homemade meals but the Dune Buggy includes a coffee pot, plates and silverware, a mini fridge & freezer, and a microwave.
On the large screened-in porch, sprawl out on the L-shaped couch, grab a bevy from the bar, and enjoy nature protected from the bugs. A private powder room is located off one side of the queen-sized bed, but if it’s a shower you’re after, you’ll find it outside, tucked behind a rustic, wooden facade. Nature-living at its most luxurious.
This studio-style living space is packed with sophistication and hand-picked amenities. Entering the cottage, you’ll find a living space with dining table and wood-burning stove and a bedroom tucked neatly behind a corner.
