Great Stay!
We have been here several times. Really fun loft overlooking Butler Street. Lots to watch, walk to everything, and very relaxing. And the management is great!

Great location! Quaint and filled with Saugatuck history.
The location downtown was perfect, with easy parking. Could walk everywhere from the loft. Plenty of space for two people, but could definitely accommodate more guests! Cool interior, with lots of history. Overall, a great stay, but could use a deeper cleaning and possibly carpets cleaned.

Great Location - Fun Spot to Stay
We enjoyed this charming historic hardware building - it was fun to stay here so close to shops. It felt “homey” & we loved the decor with the antique tools and other objects. The Butler Pantry downstairs was a great first stop for coffee in the morning and last stop for cookies in the evening. If you have a hard time with stairs, that would be your only barrier to enjoying this location - 21 stairs to get to the apartment upstairs - for us, it was okay and worth the climb to stay somewhere a little different. :)

Property is very well located. Bike rental store is at the same address...we took a leisurely ride to the beach. Easy walk to downtown restaurants and shopping. Power in Saugatuck went out for a few hours our last night. I reached out to the local contact, but there were no flashlights or emergency lighting available on the property. We weren't too inconvenienced...managed with our phone lights. Would stay here again.

Needs a deep clean
The pictures online portray this space as being well lit and clean. It was neither of those. The dust in the upstairs bathroom as well as a long baseboards and just in the general areas was very thick. We thought we could sleep three comfortably in here with one using the pull out bed. The pull out, however, had stains all over the sheets and was nothing but springs to sleep on. One of us ended up sleeping on the upstairs couch. It is not a pull out. The upstairs shower had mold on the floor as well as on the curtain. I would not recommend this for anyone who has allergies or anyone who likes their area to be clean.

Comfortable stay in the middle of everything
Loved the property and it's location. It was clean, comfortable, and has a lot of character. Needs a privacy shade in the bathroom and the parking was an issue with all the private spots occupied. I suggest the tenant leave an orange cone like some of the business owners used. There were tow away signs but they were totally ignored so most of the time we had to park a few blocks away. Parking in general is a real problem in Saugatuck so I suspect most places to stay also have the same problem unless they have their own parking lot. Overall, we hat a wonderful time!

Girls weekend
We absolutely loved the location. And we would love to come back and stay again however we do have to say it was not the cleanest. We were a little disappointed on how much dust and cobwebs were around. We realized we were probably the first guests of the season so we do take that into consideration, having said that we still were a bit disappointed that it was not clean upon our arrival. We did have to call to have someone come out and spray for wasps after we killed our 10th one flying around the apartment. There was also a bit of a problem with ants. He did come out right away and could not have been nicer so we appreciate that. It’s a wonderful location, it could use a few upgrades and a deep clean but it definitely is a great place to stay with a group.

Terrible Stay
Once we Arrived, the Air Condition in the Unit was Broke in the Rental. This is a very old space located on the 2nd floor, and it was 85 degrees inside with no air circulation. The fans that were left to help were old and full of Dust. Only 4 windows in the whole unit even open, so it was like an oven. We contacted them to let them know that this was not safe for our kids seeing my one daughter has asthma and they said there was nothing they could do to help. To make matters worse, they then were painting the exterior or the building and paint fumes were then coming into the space. It was terrible and nobody from contact list offered any bit of help during this terrible stay. We had no choice but to leave and find another space. Hopefully they will now do the right thing and refund the money. I would not recommend this place.

Exactly what we were looking for!
This place is quirky and cozy and close to everything. It was just what we needed for a quiet getaway out of the city. While it could probably use a deep clean, my family and I loved our stay.

Great Location - Interesting Layout
This is a beautiful building in an excellent location in the heart of Saugatuck. There's a great little shop in the ground floor as well.The loft is very comfortable, clean, and well maintained. The living area is bright and roomy and was great for spending an afternoon with family as a respite in the air conditioning during the hottest part of the day or during a rainstorm.The unit is entirely on the upper level as well, so if you have a stroller or heavy bags to bring along, be advised that it's a hike up the stairs.The kitchen is kind of DIY-ish and there is no dishwasher, so it's not great for doing your own cooking for a longer stay.My only issue with this property is the logistics of the bathrooms and sleeping arrangements. We needed three beds, one of which was the sleeper sofa in the living room. However, the living room windows did not have blinds, so it felt a little strange from a privacy perspective, and it got really bright and sunny really early in the morning. Additionally, the only bathroom on the main level is only accessible through the master bedroom. There is another bathroom up in the loft, and as such both bathrooms are slightly inconvenient for different reasons. In summary, it's a neat place, but just be aware of the logistical limitations.

The old hardware store apartment was in the middle of everything Saugatuck has to offer. Very unique and spacious. Would definitely stay there again!

My friends and I enjoyed our stay at this property. It had a very different vibe to it then the places I normally stay, and it was enjoyable for a change. It is so close to everything. There is even a pickle ball/tennis court On the other side of the parking lot, so bring your rackets

Very cute place. Awesome location but could really use a deep clean. Shower curtains need washing. Lots of cobwebs clearly the cleaning team never looks up. layers of dust on magazine racks in the bathroom etc. On the flip side... lots of charm and very unique.

Perfect Location
Nice stay, able to walk everywhere. Items for future guests would be 1) The second bedroom has no door, just curtains. 2). Bathroom for second bedroom is upstairs. 3) 21 stairs to climb getting up to the loft. TV has a new Roku that we could not get to work. Called for assistance and still no luck. The instructions for check out include loading the dishwasher and starting a load of laundry. There is no dishwasher and no washer/dryer there. None of these items were a problem for us, just want to let folks know. We parked the car and never used it until we left. Highly recommend the retro boat rentals, that was a blast going down the river. I would recommend this place.
