Charming cottage located in the heart of beautiful Saugatuck. Cabernet Cottage, with its 4 bedrooms, 2 ½ baths, private backyard with a hot tub and generous patio space, appeals to guests looking for a place to relax outdoors but still close to all the shopping, restaurants and entertainment downtown Saugatuck has to offer.

The main floor bedroom boasts a Queen bed and beautiful morning light through two large East facing windows. Three guest bedrooms and a half bath occupy the upstairs and include Queen beds in two rooms and two Twin beds in the other.

The living room which is bright and open to the kitchen is complete with a large incredibly comfortable sectional couch, tv and fireplace. The kitchen is outfitted with stainless steel appliances and is accommodating to cooking meals for the group. Off the kitchen is a formal dining room which opens up to one of the two outside decks.
Opening from the kitchen are full length glass french doors that draw you out to the hot tub and accompanying deck. The bricked patio space seats eight and is complemented wonderfully by a gas grill.
Enjoy smores on bonfire located on the side of the house, as shown in pictures.

Cabernet Cottage is great as a homebase for enjoying downtown Saugatuck only a half mile away and renowned Oval Beach only 5-7 minutes away by car. There is enough space to play outside during the day, grill out or just relax with a glass of wine and at night have a stress relieving soak in the hot tub.

Hot tub is available all year round. Coach house by the patio, used mostly for storage, is not guaranteed for availability.
We have a local professional cleaning company that cleans for us and a local laundry facility that cleans our linens for every reservation. Assuring you of a clean home for your stay.

Cabernet cottage in Saugatuck
Seven family members stayed for 4 nights and had a fine time with other relatives in Saugatuck. Communication with property mgr. was fine for a small issue. Have stayed here previously 2 years ago and was happy with our stay again this time.

second girls' weekend at this house!
We had an excellent weekend (again) that included hot tubbing, cooking, walks downtown and a trip to the beach. Too cold to swim in October but Lake Michigan is always a treat and only a 13 minute drive!

The Cabernet Cottage is perfect for my family - 5 adults, 2 children, and 1 teen! We especially like the patio area with the hot tub and fire pit. We can walk downtown and we all don’t have to be doing the same thing.

This house was perfect for our group of four and would be comfortable with more. It was stocked for us to cook easily. The hot tub was great and easy to manage. And it’s a 10 minute walk to downtown. Before we left, we booked it again for next year!

Lovely house with a nice yard. A fun bonus was the separate bungalow out back. My husband and I were able to sneak in a movie in peace while the kids slept in the main house. Easy walk to downtown restaurants too.

Lovely little bungalow
Basic but charming bungalow near town with lovely yard/ backyard patio area and hottub. The stairs to the second floor are a bit steep and the walls thin, but everything else about this sweet home is comfortable and easy. Great place for a get together with good friends or close family

The Perfect Location
The Cabernet House was very clean and pleasant! On top of that the location was key!! A quick walk to all of the downtown shops and activities-you never have to spent your time driving or looking for a parking spot! The hot tub was very well kept and clean as well as that was a nice wrap up to are evenings. I would definitely stay again and recommend to others!!

Clean and cozy cottage in beautiful Saugatuk
We had a great stay at Cabernet cottage. The home was immaculate upon arrival and was stocked with all amenities you would need for a week long stay. The backyard patio was where we spent most of our time. It is private and shaded and just lovely. The street is quiet and just a short walk to downtown shops and restaurants. Ten out of ten.

Great, quaint cottage in Saugatuck, Michigan
I had a girls weekend here with a few of my friends. The house was perfect! Clean, nicely decorated, super cozy, comfortable beds. It was close to town, so we could easily walk to a restaurant or do some shopping. They had a great hot tub (although it could have been a little hotter), a spacious outdoor patio, a grill for cooking and a nice kitchen. It totally met our expectations! I would recommend.

Annual family vacation
We loved staying at this cottage. It had plenty of space for all of us to sleep and play games. The outside patio and hot tub were so much fun for everyone. It was very clean and the owner left extra supplies that we may have forgotten to bring. This cottage was located right by downtown saugatuck and very close to oval beach. The owner was very quick to respond when I had a question. I highly recommend this cottage to any group of people. Thanks Kim for a great week!

Great Girls Weekend!
This was a super cute, clean house located very close to downtown Saugatuck. The owner, Kim is great to work with and responded very quickly to the few questions that we had. We could have walked to town, but it was a chilly, rainy day so we opted to drive, and parking was not hard to find. We cooked almost every meal in, and the kitchen had everything we needed. The outdoor space was adorable and cozy. It was fun to have a fire with my friends and the hot tub was an added bonus! Would highly recommend! Thank you!

Girls weekend
The cottage was very nicely decorated and comfortable. We had everything we needed except the sun! But we made the best of it and loved our stay at the little cottage. The location is perfect not too close or too far away from town and a nice healthy walk either way. I’ve been to Saugatuck five times and this was by far the best Vrbo. One little suggestion Dash we could not figure out where the breaker box might be in the cottage when we had bad weather in case our electricity went out. We looked all through the book and didn’t find any description of where it was located . That would help greatly. Thanks for a nice stay

Great location but needs TLC and better cleaning
Positives: the cottage is well located and has nice outdoor space. Negatives: most of the furniture is very tired and two of the beds were broken(one we couldn't even use). The dishwasher doesn't clean anything - we ended up having to hand wash after running the same load multiple times. Also, one of the beds upstairs is not a queen (must be a full?) - we had to double up because of the broken bed and it was a little tricky.

Great location, Good House!
We enjoyed this homes location and it came well equipped with most everything we needed.The inside is cozy and charming. The backyard is great for visiting with friends and family however, it was very overgrown and needs a good seasonal clean up. If we were to return to this home, I would take my own broom for sweeping the kitchen floor, I would take some windex to clean off the glass table in the yard. Im not a total cleaning freak I just wanted to spiffy up a bit before having family over for dinner. Lastly, we all wished there was better lighting in the backyard, maybe some string lights over the brick paver patio, it was hard to see out there after dark even with the bon fire and light near the hot tub which btw is awesome and was very clean and worked well!

Amazing stay in a perfect beach town
We could not have been more impressed with our stay at Cabernet Cottage. There were 7 of us who ranged in age from 75 to 8 years old. 3 generations of females. Upon entering the kitchen there was a wonderful note from Kim with a bottle of wine and 2 masks (thanks to Covid and the mask rule). The house was quaint, immaculate, well maintained and perfect for our group. And 3 bathrooms!!! We sat outside on the lovely side patio for dinners, wine and conversation and the 2 younger ones thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub...what an amazing extra that many rentals do not have. The grandma's motored to town in their car but the girls and grandgirls walked and had no problems at all. Got some good exercise in!! We would highly recommend Cabernet Cottage to anyone who is looking for a ladies or friends/couples/family getaway. All in all it was a wonderful getaway to Saugatuck and we would love to come back again next summer!!! Thanks Kim!!

Super cute and clean cottage close to shops and water. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for 5 adults. We enjoyed the hot tub and outdoor space . We wished we had one more night to enjoy the fire pit. We will definitely use the Cabernet Cottage in the future
