Welcome, to Whispering Palms Private Pool Home!

Once you walk into this home you are greeted with an indoor Atrium that can be seen from every room. The living room is spacious and has a large sectional sofa that is perfect for watching your favorite programming on the large screen TV.  The master bedroom has a king-size bed, en-suite bathroom with master shower, jets, and steam room. Plus a large walk-in closet, a lighted makeup table, and plenty of space to unpack. The second bedroom has a King bed with a large TV in the room as well as a desk.  The final bedroom is a bunk bed style with three twin mattresses.   The top bunk should only be used by a small child and the other two could be used by adults or other children.  There is a large open kitchen that is fully stocked with dishes, stemware, and basic appliances to enjoy meals made at home.  It has a large dining room table and seating at the breakfast bar.

The large fenced-in grassy backyard is the highlight of this comfortable home with a private outdoor pool.  The pool area has two covered seating areas, a covered gazebo, and a gas grill for having that weekend BBQ! Pool heat may be added (Nov-April) for a fee of $35/day.

This home is located just 9 miles (22minute drive) from the University Town Center Mall which is great for shopping and upscale restaurants. The Sarasota/Bradenton airport is only 6 minutes away (2.9 miles) and downtown Sarasota is 13 minutes (6.1 miles).
There is a Publix grocery store at Bayshore Gardens that is 5 minutes away (1.8 miles) and a Walmart Neighborhood Market that is just 8 minutes away (3.8miles) to stock up on snacks, drinks, and food items or last-minute items you forgot to pack for the trip. No trip to Sarasota would be complete without going to one of the world-class beaches nearby. Siesta Key Beach is a 30-minute drive (13.3 miles) or Lido Key Beach is 20 minutes (9 miles). Check out St Armand's Circle near Lido Key Beach for additional shopping and great restaurant choices.

There are many great restaurants within a short car ride such as the Sunnyside Café which among other things has the best lobster roll sandwich in town!! Downtown Sarasota is a short 13-minute drive and abounds with restaurants, rooftop bars, and shopping.  Tarpon Bay Grill in the Ramada Inn, just north of US41 is a fun place to sit and have a beverage on the Marina.  Other restaurant selections are Mirna's Cuban,  Mama G's Coffee shop for German baked goods, and Primo's Italian restaurant all within a 3-mile radius of the home.

Nice Place in Sarasota
We were here visiting family. We didn't spend too much time here. The pictures are actually. We loved the backyard was great just to chill in the evening. The living room was huge and very comfortable. They had suitable cook ware. No wine glasses - so I left one for you and some bigger coffee cups. Location was great for us to get into Bradenton. I would stay again at this location. Plenty of space for a family.

Sarasota FL vacation
The property was great. Lots of room in the house. Yard was nice. Outside seating area was nice. A quiet neighborhood. Close to airport, grocery stores and downtown. A lot of planes arriving and departing during the day. It wasn't disruptive, we actually got a kick out of it. Check out Flightradar 24 - tells you where the plane is going to or coming from. Heated pool was a great plus. We used the grill. Kitchen had everything we needed for a week stay. It had a Keurig. We would stay here again.

Newly Renovated Place in a Quiet Neighborhood
Our family of 5 found this house to be the perfect place for our winter vacation. The rooms are spacious, the managers are very responsive and you can easily access most of Florida's West Coast (It's an hour south of Tampa, 15 minutes from downtown Sarasota, an hour from Venice Beach and 1.5 hours from Naples). We enjoyed walking through the neighborhood, around the country club. Definitely need to have a car. It was a bit cool, so we didn't get to use the pool much, but the sauna in the master bath is excellent. Highly recommend!

The best place for a much-needed break!
I absolutely love this property! Everything was better than I had hoped. Having a TV on the back porch that can be viewed from the pool was a big plus, but the pool was the highlight! The TV in the living room is HUGE! Everything I needed for preparing food was there. I slept in the master bedroom and the bed is very comfortable. The shower with multiple spraying options was super. I absolutely intend to stay there again! A shout out to the ladies from iTrip for their fabulous customer service--top notch!

We were relieved and over the moon that the property was just as it stated on the website. This house is going to be our "MUST STAY" when we visit next year. The only issue we had was that the internet went down the day before we left. However; we weren't that concerned as we were there for the pool and close access to the ocean. The airport noise wasn't as bad as we thought either. .

The house was centrally located and was spacious and clean. Comfortable beds and perfect for families. The only negative aspect of our trip was that the pool was not clean upon arrival and we had to contact the property manager who immediately responded to us and took care of the problem. They ended up replacing the whole filtration unit of the pool because it was not working properly and they were able to use the pool by the end of the second day of our stay. Debbie was excellent and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and even offered to move us to a different property if the pool issue couldn’t be resolved. Great customer service.

Wonderful house
We had a wonderful stay at this house. We did have some misunderstandings in the beginning about pool heating but that was fixed the first day to our liking. We really enjoyed it. House was clean and has everything you need. It is close to the airport but it was quiet. We will definitely come again.

A pleasant stay
Our family enjoyed the house but especially the pool and backyard. The house is located on a quiet street, as other reviews mentioned the airport is close but the plane sounds didn’t bother us. My biggest complaint was with the pool heating. Grandma came this trip and she really loves to swim but in a comfortable pool temperature so we decided to pay for the heating of the pool. When we checked in the property manager turned on the pool heat but the weather had been warm so the pool was already at 84 degrees. We asked if we really even needed it if it was at 84 with no heat because the heat is set at 84. My personal belief is that since we already paid for it, she didn’t want to go through the hassle of refunding anything so she said we would want it on if we swam in evenings or early mornings. After two days we never saw the pool temperature change so we asked if someone could come turn it off and refund the next 5 days of pool heating that we paid for. We were told no, we had a choice to pay for it or not before we arrived and they can’t control the weather and they were too busy to send anyone over. She again said we would be happy it was on if the night temperatures got cooler. Well fast forward a few days and temps dropped to 58 overnight, pool dropped to 78 and despite mid 80s daytime temps outside the pool never got over 79 degrees. After the second straight day of 79 degrees pool temperature I contacted property management and indicated that I didn’t think the pool heater was working, showed a picture of the pool temperature and so they refunded 2 days of pool heat. But not any other days. I personally don’t think it was ever working nor can I even be sure they actually turned it on. There is also a 2 page laminated “explanation” of pool heating and no guarantee of temperature, etc document that is in the house upon arrival. None of this information is explained on the VRBO house description or in any fine print that I could see. There were also hundreds of tiny dead ants in the pool every day. I don’t mind pool skimming, but constantly skimming dead ants was a bit gross. Apparently this can be a common problem in the area especially when a dry spell happens as they look for water. I was pleasantly surprised to see two beach chairs and a small amount of beach toys in the garage. If another family bought and left them, thank you! We paid it forward by leaving the body boards we bought for our kids in the garage.

Loved the house and the property. It is next to the airport, 6 minute drive with traffic. Easy to get to downtown Sarasota or St. Armands, UTC, Bradenton. The only drawback to the property is "the airport noise" and terrible wifi, but the wifi may have been fixed since we were there. The property managers were responsive and accommodating. Great fenced in backyard. There is no cable only streaming services including spectrum (so no local channels or your normal NBC, ABC, CBS lineups). Great price for what they offer. Most people would have given 5 stars all the way around, so use my stars only based on what I wrote here and what mattered to us. May not matter as much to most.

Nice House, Needs a Few More Amenities
While we loved the house itself (beautiful furnishings, pool, and yard), there were a few things missing (e.g., hot tub jets not working, not enough towels or pillows, limited supplies, etc.). The beds were all very comfortable and we enjoyed hanging out in the dining room, living room, and outside as a family! The property management was very receptive to our feedback and indicated we were the first visitors, so some things should hopefully be addressed for future guests. (If so, we'd highly recommend this as a vacation getaway!) One thing to note -- the house is VERY close to the Sarasota International Airport. Be prepared!
