"We stayed in a Shepherd's hut and it was great! Lovely location for going walking (only about 10min drive from a car park to go up old man coniston) Was super cosy and warm inside the hut, everything you need to prepare food, a tv to watch Netflix etc and bed was decent. It did get quite damp in there at night leaving the corners of the bed a bit wet in the morning but nothing too extreme. (Might be worse after more than 2 nights though.) "We had a wonderful stay at 1 Park Road in September, having stayed here now for many years. Hilton is an excellent host and nothing is too much trouble. The breakfast is beautiful with allergens catered for with prior notice. Such a relaxing time in the lovely bright dining room.
