Clean and amazing restaurant
This hotel is on the mountain overlooking La Spezia. Check in was efficient with personal attention to showing us our room. The room was clean and up to date with bedding, furnishings and bathroom. We ate in the restaurant and the food was amazing with great local wine. The breakfast was very good as well. I highly recommend this hotel.

A pleasant stay at La Trigola
Was glad we found La Trigola in our trip to La Spezia/Cinque Terre. Was initially worried if i could find a parking place in the small town of La Spezia. Though the location is slightly away from the main city, the view and sumptuous dinner made up all for it. The rooms are functional and very clean. Will surely recommend La Trigola to anyone, especially those on a driving trip as there is free and safe parking available at the premise.

Three nights stay in La Trigola
We have stayed for three nights in La Trigola in order to explore Cinque Terre. In my point of view location is pretty good if you travel by car. You need to get off from main road for a few km up the hill on a bit scary road but opens a great view . Our room had a balcony with a magnificent view over the hill and a bit of a see. It was spacious and clean. If you compare it to other alternatives, hotel is quite renovated for Italy. Hotel staf was very friendly! Unfortunately we didn’t have chance to go to the restaurant, but the breakfast was good . I put a good rate for the hotel taking into account value for money .

It was not easy to get there, specially since we did not have a car. But the views were quite nice and the restaurant had really good food specially for dinner. It is a nice place to go for a relaxing time away from big crowds.

Scary exprnc, who want their room opened midnight?
Woke up at mid night after all of us asleep due to some big bangs on our door, the next seconds, it was scary experience to witness that our room door's extra lock turned and the door being opened although I locked the extra lock. I was fast to lock it back within a second. Felt that some noise outside the room for the next hour. No one (hotel staff) came to explain what has going on, so i had to awake for the next few hours to monitor the room door and the terrace door (which connected directly to outside/garden) is not opened through the night. Apparently the reception gave wrong keys to a customer next door(checked in earlier than us) and we got their key, understood that after our breakfast, just before check out. No one initiated talk or apologize to us for that kind of scary experience before we asked what was happening.

Beautiful hotel
I can highly recommend this hotel. Beautiful location, excellent staff and amazing food in their restaurant. It is also near cinque terre (you need a car) and near other beautiful villages within reach.

Room did not have the rollaway bed that was requested. We were placed in the wrong room and had to move to a smaller room the next morning. We were charged €40 extra for a rollaway bed that was later provided, that was uncomfortable, and was forced into a very small space. Hotel was in a very beautiful area it was clean and otherwise comfortable.

What a view!
What a fantastic setting, on top of a hill overlooking the valley, we had a great balcony with a 'classic' booking. Room was very good, dinner was excellent, breakfast was just not well managed, when we went down (we were not the last) everything was depleted and needed restocking also no cups, now plates or bowls, looked for someone finally went to reception, very slow to react, went and got our own from the kitchen! I'm sure there was a good reason for this and would hope it is not typical!
