"Like all Paradores it is a stunningly beautiful repurposed historical space. Beautifully appointed. Staff is gracious and efficient. Rooms are the perfect mix of history and modernity. My only complaint is that the beds are very hard. If you are accustomed to a quilt top or memory foam mattress these feel like sleeping on cement. This is not the first uncomfortably hard bed we’ve slept on during this trip, however. Rock hard mattresses seem to be a European hospitality thing. "

"Lovely hotel with spacious and confortable rooms. Located in the older section of santigao, it is within walking distance of all major the sites and many good restaurants & cafes. The breakfast, though high quality, was sparse for the price. I would stay again. "

"Central to everything!!! Many places & choices to eat, have a dessert or just enjoy a drink ! Room was very cool, like it was culled from the remains of abandoned castle walls. Simple breakfast with great rustic bread/came warm. ++ meats, cheese, jams & coffee. All you need to start an amazing day of wandering. Safe location, safe in room. "We were early, they worked to get us in our room earlier. The clerk was so friendly and helpful through our whole 3 night stay. The room was comfortable, clean, pretty and a pleasure to stay in - enjoyed the free coffee and made use of the community room downstairs while waiting for our room. "
