Truly a unique getaway experience while staying in what is known as “A Sophisticated Cowboy Town” Santa Ynez. Here you will find the main street resembles an old movie set. Dotted with some of the valley’s best restaurants, charming shops, art, and a museum, you will have plenty to savor from your cozy hideout.

Breath in and relax as you enjoy this 2 bedroom, 1 bath home, with a lovely living space, fully equipped kitchen, and enclosed backyard that has outdoor seating and a BBQ. You can almost see the stagecoach passing under the mature oak trees that are nearby.

Steps Away Cottage has been fully renovated with newer flooring, fixtures, and amenities. Central Heat and A/C
Host pays the 12% TOT Tax, Not the guest!

Park the car and stay awhile while enjoying a walk to morning coffee and a stroll back, meandering through shops and country lanes. You could spend the entire time at your leisure as you experience the refuge of your stay. However, if you so desire, you are only moments away from all the wineries, European moments of Solvang, and wide-open spaces of the Santa Ynez Valley.

We ask the following regarding pets:

- Dog must be crated when not with you

- Dog are not allowed on the furniture

- Please bag any dog waste and dispose of by placing in outdoor waste receptacle

- Please know that you are in the country with wildlife; don't leave your dog outside, unattended. Also, watch small dogs (hawks and owls see them as food). Finally, don’t leave the door open for your dog. If you do, you might find that a rodent has joined you inside the home.

Wonderful weekend getaway!

We loved our stay so much! The location is great- walking distance to several bars, restaurants, shops, tasting rooms. The house is so cute and kept up really well. Super close to lots of wineries and Solvang and Los Olivos!

Close to great restaurants and shops. Perfect wine country getaway. My family was able to enjoy the town while I was working in the Santa Barbara wine Country.

The property was well laid out for an early Thanksgiving. Everything was nice and clean. The location was close to great restaurants and a quaint shopping area as well as Solvang. Would book here again.

Super clean and comfortable home

Hats off to the owner for the clean aesthetic design of this home interior. Open concept, very tasteful house with fenced yard which was great for our pups. So many thoughtful details in a very well stocked kitchen. Location is fantastic as you can walk to great restaurants and shopping. Highly recommend!

The house was perfect, roomy and clean. We had planned on bringing our two dogs and it a good thing we didn’t because they are not allowed in the furniture. Everything was perfect and I will stay again next time I am in the area.

Everything you need is within walking distance!

The home was in a perfect location! Walking distance to market, restaurants, wine tasting, coffee. Chumash casino is within walking distance too! Beautiful home, beautiful neighborhood, and friendly locals! Haven't been to Santa Ynez in over 10 yrs. Glad we went and hope to return soon!

Perfect Anniversary Getaway

This property could not have been in a better location! We have always wanted to see what Los Olivos has to offer and we were not disappointed. We were able to take our time and walk to breakfast, wineries and dinner. Quick and easy access to the casino as well. It was a lovely trip, and I would definitely stay here again!

We had a lovely weekend at this property- it is extremely well kept and in the perfect location for visiting SYV wine country, just right around the corner from the main drag of Santa Ynez. Highly recommended!

Perfect location

Cottage was super cute and spotless. Ideal for the three adults in our group. Walking distance to coffee shops, lunch spots, and other amenities and a very short drive to Los Olivos and some wineries. Would definitely stay here again.

A Lovely Little Getaway....

This property was immaculate, beautifully appointed, and had everything we needed. It was a perfect relaxing place with a large backyard, complete with patio table and umbrella, just perfect for bird and lizard watching. Great jumping off place for Solvang, Buellton, and San Ynez. The weather was just gorgeous too! We'll be back!

Great house in a perfect location!

Such a great location. House is very clean and was perfect for my friend and me on our golf trip. Might be a little tight for anything more than 4 people with the 1 bathroom. But I would definitely recommend this rental, as I also personally plan on staying here again.

Best Anniversary Weekend

We came out here for our 5 year wedding anniversary. This cottage lives up to it's name - "Steps Away Cottage". You literally take a few steps and you are in town. You are walking distance to most everything and just a short drive to Buellton, Los Olivos and surrounding. The cottage is so clean and had a really open layout. It had everything we needed to cook and even do laundry if needed. We loved everything about it. Information about the rental and recommendations were laid out and were so clear. The host, Pam, was the best at communication and she was quick to respond with any questions I had. Our last night there, we were going to pull into the driveway and it seems the neighbors had parked there thinking we had already checked out. Wasn't a big deal at all as we just parked in front. I did text Pam to let her know and they moved their truck promptly. Wasn't necessary as we didn't move our car until the next morning to load up. It was a wonderful stay and have already recommended it to a few friends. Would love to stay there again in the future. Thanks again for a lovely stay. Happy Holidays! Sincerely, The Ryan Family
