I'm fully aware it's a 2-star hotel, however every hotel should meet a couple very basic standards. Being able to properly sleep is one of them. You can absolutely forget about that at San Martin. Even though I was on the top floor (only room there), every evening there was such loud music & bass from a bar next door. The walls were so thin it was like sleeping in a club. 'Luckily' most of it stopped around 12. Until then i slept with earplugs AND noise cancelling headphones on... After the first night i asked the receptionist about it but she said it was only on weekend days & due to Day of the dead. Not true, it's every night! One evening there was even some kind of party on the rooftop next to my room, lots of people passing by and talking all night. I really considered moving hotels but already spent my money on this. Besides that: the mattresses of the beds are broken, i had 2 beds and both had a big 'hole' in the mattress.
The hotel itself looks nice, great pool and rooms are generally neat. Location is perfect, walking distance to everything. Got new towels once every other day, although i wonder if they every changed the sheets. As i recognised some stains. One lady at the reception was nice, helped me carry my suitcase and checked when I wanted my room cleaned.
There were 2 other girls who seemed to be just hanging around there and using the pool themselves, a bit strange to me.
Overall, to me not worth the money unfortunately.
