Beautiful Space on top of the world
Property is an end unit across from Fort Marcy Park which was a pleasant surprise. You can view sunsets and the moon rising. You can walk to downtown but walking back up the hilly streets is a challenge. The space itself is fully stocked and decorated in an authentic style. King bed is luxurious and comfortable. Not one negative to say.

Best place to stay- on top of hill with scenic views
And so quiet! All comforts and amenities needed for a relaxing vacation. Yet an easy walk to all the places I wanted to go, and then get my exercise in walking back which is uphill (about 1 mile). Much better than paying for parking. We enjoyed the pool and spa! And the owner has a great website telling you everything! Places to go, how to open the comfortable couch bed, etc. it’s a corner end unit with parking a few steps away. I highly recommend it.

Fantastic property!
We've stayed in several Ft. Marcy condos. All have been good but this one is the best. Very well-decorated and furnished. We particularly appreciated the artwork. Another bonus was the series of YouTube videos that took all of the guesswork out of making things work properly in the condo. Finally, the condo is located just a few steps from Ft. Marcy park, which is ideal for views of the mountains and the town below. When we return we will try to book this unit!

Perfect spot to stay while visiting Sante Fe
Easy to check in and out. This was a lovely condo home right across from a park with a pleasant walk to downtown area, galleries, churches, shops and museums. Coming home was uphill but looking at the homes and flowers along the way made it easier. The decor was Southwest and cute. Comfy bed, nice bathroom with shampoo, soaps etc and plenty of towels. The kitchen was great with all utensils, plates and necessary implements including a wine opener much appreciated. Paper towels and detergent supplied- so easy just to come in and feel at home in a well cared for condo. Big TV’s to watch while relaxing and even a small front porch to sit and watch the stars. Our host texted to make sure we were doing ok which was reassuring- they cared that we were enjoying our visit and didn’t need anything. We enjoyed our visit here and hope to come back - Thankyou!

Amazing place, amazing location
Close to downtown Santa Fe, but close enough for a day trip to Los Alamos, there are a wide range of things to see and do, and having a relaxing home base makes it all worth while. The place looked exactly like the pictures. Kitchen was well stocked for preparing a meal in, though with so many food choices near by, not sure you want to do this. Would definitely stay again!

Lovely accommodation, scenic location... (but poor communication)
The casita was well-appointed, spacious, and clean—we were very happy with it! The location is scenic, right across from Fort Marcy park. With nicer weather, it would have been fairly convenient too (reasonable walking distance to the Plaza), but it was cold and rainy during our stay so we ended up taking a lot of Ubers. Two things got in the way of this being a perfect stay. One is minor: the lack of coffee. There was a coffee maker but no coffee stocked. When we tried to get some delivered via Uber Eats/DoorDash, there weren't enough drivers in the area (SF is much smaller in population than I realized) so we had to leave for the day's outings uncaffeinated. Again, this is a minor complaint, easily rectifiable and avoidable if you have a car. The big detracting issue was the poor communication and lack of clarity on the checkin process. We didn't receive ANY information on which unit was ours, where it was located, what the entry code was, etc. ahead of time. I had to message through the app in a panic minutes before our check-in time to get this info. Before receiving a response, we were dropped off with our luggage at the provided address. All we could see were casitas - no office or central checkin location. We set off in search of one, and had a very difficult time traversing the property; there were lots of stairs and no ramps—schlepping our rolling luggage was a pain (this has to be an ADA issue, right?) especially given the freezing temperature and light snow. When I eventually found an office building and entered, panting from exertion in high altitude, I was told that that property management company had nothing to do with our booking—they couldn't look up my reservation or any details about it. Luckily, we received a response through Vrbo a few minutes later, so we finally got the unit number and access code. The folks in the office told me where to find the unit, and it was on the FAR corner of the property at the top of a steep hill. By the time we dragged our stuff there, we were exhausted, frustrated, and out of breath. We didn't know who our host contact was (Evolve listed one name, but I received a welcome text message from someone else). When we finally got in touch with the right person to ask about late checkout (having asked previously in-app to no avail), he kindly approved a noon checkout... but then the cleaners tried to enter our unit at 10:30am anyway. Bad communication across the board (Evolve's fault, not Ted's).

Good location, but very expensive, and commerical property managment company is difficult
Originally booked the listing in August but needed to change dates. Unfortunately, Evolve is a separate property management agency that doesn't play well with VRBO. Which meant I couldn't ever get a response on VRBO to my change request. I ended up having to call Evolve, and after multiple holds and menu items, finally get through to someone who could help me. Once the new arrival date was booked, I never received a check-in notice on how to access the property, which meant I had again to call Evolve, go through multiple menus, and finally get ahold of someone who sent me a welcome email with details. All, while trying to navigate to the location which wasn't easy to find. It's part of a large condo complex that's clearly been converted to STRs, as that makes the ownership more $. Point is, I would never book a listing that is managed by a large portfolio property management company. You lose the touch and response of communicating directly with an owner, or small property manager professional. A couple of other small things. Property manager requested we take out our own garbage at the end of the stay. When we did so, which is a pretty bold request after forking out a preimum amount for each night's stay, the dumpster was locked. All of it seemed a little too much for a listing that was expensive. PRO: the bed was very comfortable, and the unit was very clean.

Charming Southwestern Style Condo!
This was a lovely one bedroom condo on the end of the unit... very private and quiet, perfect for a couple! Beautifully decorated in a southwestern style, and very clean! Loved the living room with the kiva fireplace and HUGE tv! The leather couch was very comfortable to sit on and watch tv. The kitchen had all modern appliances and a small dining table that we also used as a desk. The bathroom was nicely decorated and had a large copper bowl vessel sink and beautiful cabinet. There was also a large step in shower. The bedroom had a king bed and a large closet. There were also two lovely seating areas outside of the condo, one next to the front door, and one in front of the bedroom window. There were a number of things we did NOT like about the condo, as follows: Bedroom: The king bed was wayyyy too soft and uncomfortable to sleep on. We'd suggest a topper and place it under the mattress protector. The base of the bed stuck out farther than the mattress on all 3 sides, so we had to be careful at night not to hit our legs on it in the dark. Recommend installing a room darkening curtains to block out morning light for those who like to sleep in on vacation. The tv in the bedroom was ridiculously SMALL... like about 32". Would also be better to mount it directly across from the bed rather than in the corner. Living Room: The kiva fireplace is charming, but does not work well. Damper is hard to open. We made a fire the first night, and it worked well for about 30 minutes and was beautiful! Then some of the smoke starting coming back into the room and made our eyes sting! We had to open the front door to air the room out until the fire burned out. Not sure how you can fix this issue? Bathroom: Would be nice if you had a small teak bench in shower so the ladies have a place to put their feet up on to shave our legs. It was great that you provided complimentary pump shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the shower, but they take up the one shelf in the shower and no room for other things like razors and face wash. Also no good place to hang washcloths in shower as no grab bars in shower. The bathroom exhaust fan was extremely noisy, so there may be something going bad on it. Thanks!

Comfortable, Clean, Convenient
This was a great home base for our stay in Santa Fe. It is within walking distance of the plaza and its many galleries, museums, and restaurants. It's also in a convenient location to drive to other areas of Santa Fe while bypassing the plaza area. We had no trouble finding a spot in the parking lot near the casita. We found the accommodations to be clean and comfortable, and the host was very responsive. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Wonderful Accommodations
We loved our stay at Casa de Chimayo! The condo is situated at the top of a hill and we could walk just a few steps from our door to Old Fort Marcy Park to see the breathtaking view of Santa Fe and the surrounding mountains. The lighting of this view was wonderful both in the morning when we carried breakfast to the park or in the evening when we sat quietly at sunset. The condo is super clean, comfortable (especially the king-sized bed), attractive, and well-appointed. It is located within walking distance of many of the shops, museums, and restaurants; however, we tended to drive down to the town due to the hilly walk back home to the condo. For those who are younger, it would be a fun walk! The property manager was very responsive and helpful and made us feel very well taken care of. We will definitely stay here again, probably even making sure the place is available when we plan our next trip!
