Historic Eastside Haven~Close to Plaza/Canyon Rd~ Walk to coffee shops

Historic Eastside Haven~Located in the heart of Santa Fe
nestled along a quintessential Santa Fe lane.
This walkable neighborhood is surrounded by traditional northern New Mexico charm.
With Canyon Road art district just around the corner and only a 1/2 mile walk to Santa Fe plaza; makes for a perfect location.
Grab a coffee at the local cafe or take a stroll along the Santa Fe river path.
Retreat back to your sweet haven and relax in the peaceful private courtyard or your studio TV lounge.

Historic Haven:
This home perfectly accommodates two adults who appreciate being in the heart of historic Santa Fe.
The whole house including the studio is cooled by mini-splits/heat pump.
The units are quiet and extremely efficient. Also allow for you to set the temp differently in each room which is great for your preferred comfort levels.
Ambience fills every corner of the neighborhood with quaint architecture amid the faint echo of the renowned St. Francis Cathedral bells.
If you are art lovers, you will adore Canyon Road with over a mile of galleries and restaurants in converted adobes only two blocks from your door.
The front entrance through the adobe wall is a wooden gate onto the private courtyard with outdoor seating.
The front door leads into a sunroom spilling into a light filled living area which blends both contemporary and traditional. Features are white-washed vigas, wood floors throughout, granite, subway tile, and custom window treatments.
The living area has a traditional kiva wood burning fireplace which is operable November-April. There is also a contemporary leather seating area with a dining table and four chairs.
The main house does not have a TV (there is a smart TV in the adjacent studio).
The space is bright and lively with skylights and several windows.
There is a fully equipped galley kitchen with high-end granite counters and rich veneered cabinetry.
The kitchen is extremely efficient, with a two-burner gas cooktop, wall oven and dishwasher. The washer/dryer is also in the kitchen. There is a door leading out to the courtyard where you can enjoy your morning coffee or evening glass of vino.
The bedroom has a queen size bed and is street-facing. However, the street is very small and on a relatively quiet Santa Fe road.
Directly off the hall from the bedroom is the crisp bathroom in white subway tile with a tub/shower.
Cozy up in the fun separate studio TV lounge with a wet bar and a second bathroom.
The shower is oversized with beautiful hand-made Mexican tile.
The wet bar has a traditional ceramic Mexican sink. It’s a mere few steps out the front door across the courtyard. This area is cooled by a mini-split A/C unit and ceiling fan.
Lastly, enjoy all of the beautiful art hanging on the walls. Amy, the owner, is the artist.
There is a small parking space for a compact car along the side of the home.
Note that pets are not permitted on the property.
We hope you enjoy our home as much as we do.

NEIGHBORHOOD
If Santa Fe is the second largest art market in the nation, then Canyon Road is the heart of the art district within Santa Fe.
A treasure trove of artistic finds, Canyon Road boasts more than 100 art galleries and studios that include everything from Native American and contemporary art to jewelry, clothing and furniture. All of this resides in a setting full of original architecture, sculpture and gardens.
Rich cultural surroundings require world-class dining options. From traditional Southwestern Cuisine to innovative Fusion Southwestern Cuisine, the variety here is incredible.
Native American, Mexican, Italian, Spanish, Thai, Steak, Vegetarian, as well as a top-notch wine selection - no stone is left un-turned.
It's only natural that the people that define this community to be artistic in nature. Musicians, actors, artists, and the like, are your neighbors. Simply put, culture exudes from every corner. You don’t have to be an artist to live here. Just hold an appreciation for culture.

Couldn't Be Better!
This house and a cottage and a courtyard in between was perfect for us. It is beautifully decorated and the kitchen is well stocked with cooking tools, plates, etc. The rest of the house is well stocked as well. The management company responded quickly to any questions we had. It is a block from Canyon Rd and about a mile to the downtown Plaza, so easy waking distance to art, shops, restaurants, etc. You will not be disappointed! labout a mile to the diwntown Plazq

I can only give five stars!
We’ve found the perfect place to stay in Santa Fe. It’s a block from Canyon road and a few more to the square. It’s on a quiet street in a nice neighborhood with easy parking. A pleasant and interesting place to walk around after a day of sightseeing and gallery browsing. It’s clean and well thought out. It’s like being a resident of Santa Fe living in your own compound. The main 1br house has a very nice kitchen for doing all of your cooking. There’s a central courtyard where you can sit and watch the clouds go by. Then there is a second smaller house, where you can watch TV or meditate. It’s bright and sunny inside, so you want to stay there all day. But don’t forget to see the sights!

Wonderful Stay
This stay was beyond our expectations. We will definitely stay here again if at all possible when we're Santa Fe. The unit was so tastefully decorated and comfortable. Most notably, the host but a great deal of thought into providing everything we could need, and the quality of everything was excellent. The kitchen is perfect, the landscaping and flowers are wonderful, etc. It's very quiet and convenient to Canyon Road.

Roomy little get-away
This is the cleanest rental at which I have stayed, notable in an older property. The landscape is lovely and maintained and everything worked properly. The queen bed is very comfortable; the kitchen well-equipped. And of course, the highly walkable location is the best.

Great stay in Santa Fe
We had a fabulous stay in Santa Fe. The house was very well appointed and in a great location. Our favorite spot was the sun porch where we took a break between morning and evening activities. We are looking forward to returning in the near future! Also - amazing art work on the walls:) Truly.

We loved the place. It was nice having the studio separate from main house. The main house was comfortable and had everything we needed. The studio was cozy and a great place to hang out in morning and evening. We highly recommend it for others. Especially in larger groups and people who like to get space alone.

Santa Fe Jewel
It would be hard for me to overstate just how fantastic this perfectly appointed, fully outfitted, amazingly located home is. I would have to call it "jewel-like." It was clean-clean. Like spotless. It had everything we needed and beyond: even vitamin C, baggies, coffee, tea, etc., etc. The whole place was wonderfully curated. We felt extremely we taken care of here. Some people my be surprised that the TV is located in a small studio adjacent to the main home (like five feet away) but we loved not having a TV in the main room. Internet was great. It was quiet. And the location? Couldn't ask for better: a 90-second walk to Canyon Road; a two-minute walk to a cool coffee shop, etc. We will be back. No question about it.

We enjoyed our stay at this chic & comfy casita. It was nice to be within walking distance to all downtown attractions & an easy drive outside the city as well. This property is newly renovated and has a nicely stocked kitchen & any other items you might need. At night it was quiet, allowing for a restful sleep. We enjoyed the nice touches of cute small kitchen appliances & artwork throughout. We highly recommend!

Paradise in Santa Fe
We were in town for the Opera and were enchanted with this little house that included a separate studio with its own bathroom and gorgeous Talavera Tile shower. The house had artistic touches in every corner, down to the tin hammered light switches. I stay in VRBOs a lot and have never been in such a well-stocked house. The keypad made getting in easy. We look forward to staying here again! The bed was comfortable and the location very private and quiet. We highly recommend nearby Geronimo restaurant for fine dining. A word of advice - if you are flying and renting a car, choose a compact or midsize. The Toyota Camry we rented fitted nicely in the parking space on the side of the house. If you are driving, drive your smallest car. We loved this place and hate to leave!
