Casa Don Miguel | 4 Bed, 4 Bath

Casa Don Miguel, located in the historic Acequia Madre neighborhood, offers a genuine Santa Fe experience with its traditional adobe dwellings. This property consists of a main house and a guest house, both reflecting the unique architectural style and cultural heritage of the region.

The main house features vigas, which are wooden beams typically used in adobe construction, adorning the ceilings of the great room. This characteristic design element adds to the authentic Santa Fe ambiance of the residence. The large windows in the main house open onto a patio, providing stunning panoramic views of the Jemez and Sangre de Cristo mountains, as well as the mesmerizing city lights. This enchanting vista allows residents and guests to immerse themselves in the natural beauty of the area.

In addition to the main house, Casa Don Miguel offers a spacious guest house that embodies Pueblo-inspired style. Pueblo architecture draws inspiration from the indigenous Native American tribes of the Southwest, known as Pueblo peoples. It often includes features such as adobe construction, rounded corners, and earthy color palettes. The guest house provides a comfortable and culturally rich space for visitors to enjoy their stay in Santa Fe.

By staying at Casa Don Miguel, residents and guests have the opportunity to experience the charm and character of Santa Fe's adobe dwellings while being situated in the peaceful Acequia Madre neighborhood. This location offers a unique blend of tranquility and accessibility to the vibrant cultural and artistic attractions that make Santa Fe the "City Different."

Perfect home for a multi-family vacation
The house and Casita were both well-appointed and very clean. The location is very convenient - walkable to Canyon Road and the Plaza (if you are up for a longer stroll) - but also far enough off the beaten path to provide peace and quite.

Fabulous accommodations
Don Miguel place was beautifully furnished with classic art and a Sante Fe authentic taste. Very well equipped with everything we need and then some. Gorgeous moonlight views from upper deck and full view doors gave the place a more spacious feel in a very urban neighborhood. Christmas Eve canyon road was a 5 minute walk.

Interesting
It was unique and comfortable. However during our stay the A/C was shut down for the season (warm during day) and boiler shut down to repair (cold at night) it took over 3 hours we had to stay at the house while a team of workers were inside and our things were there. The Casita blinds were broken bedroom and barely usable in living area. Backyard view of burned out house. Neighborhood nice in front and down the road. Despite those problems we enjoyed for the most part our stay.

A great family house
As Santa Fe Natives we were in town for a family gathering and this house was just perfect for our two families. The location exceeded expectations in being both close to the plaza and at the end of a small quiet street. On tip is that parking at the house can be tight and works best backing into the spaces

We thoroughly enjoyed the home, neighborhood, and property managers. The house is lovely and stocked with essential gear; the managers responded promptly to a minor issue. We’d definitely stay here again.

We are a group of High School girlfriend’s who met 60 years ago in Northern California. The accommodations were superb! We thoroughly enjoyed the deck up stairs, courtyards and fully stocked kitchen, plus laundry facilities! We HIGHLY recommend staying at this VRBO!!

Pros and cons
Property is very well located. Easy to walk into town or head to the hills. House is well equipped. Casita is fabulous additional space. Only negative is limited parking. People park illegally in front of house and that makes access very difficult at times. Glad we only had to deal with one car. Technically there is space for three but not in real life.

Reunion get away
Recently returned to Santa Fe for a reunion with several college friends. The house we rented from Casas de Santa Fe was a perfect location for us to all reconnect and enjoy downtown Santa Fe. Just off Canyon Rd and within walking distance to the Plaza, we couldn't have asked for better accommodations. We will definitely be using them the next time we are in town.

Perfect for our group
We had a fabulous visit to Santa Fe and this house was the perfect home base. Too far for a comfortable walk anywhere but we had a car so that was not a problem. There are some very nice outdoor spaces but the weather didn’t permit our use of them and the living room in the larger house was not great for our group to sit comfortably and talk but the dining table served us well.

Perfect Santa Fe Property!
We had eight family members stay a week t for my husband’s memorial service and celebration of life. Everyone had a comfy bed, a private bath and my one daughter & husband stayed in the casita with their early rising 1-year old. Wonderful great room for visiting with a beautiful wood fire, very clean, perfect Santa Fe decore, lots of parking and good walking location to Canyon Road, Railyard and the Plaza (about a mile). Thank you, it was a lovely stay!

All the comforts of home
This comfy and super clean home and adjacent casita were perfect for our family. My husband and I had privacy upstairs with an amazing deck and view of the night sky. My daughter and grand daughters had all the space they needed because they had bedrooms and private bathrooms. My parents were comfy and peaceful in the casita. The kitchen was fully equipped and there were ample glasses and dishes for multiple meals throughout the day. We found everything we needed, including scotch tape in the bins in the laundry room. Located in Old Santa Fe neighbor, narrow streets make the coming and going challenging but doable. Would rent it again.

The stay at the house was great! Parking was a bit of a bother.
The house was cozy, everything you need in a kitchen, bathroom and in the bedrooms. Cooling the house was an experience especially upstairs, but we figured it out. Parking was sometimes a problem because of neighbors parking so you can't get out as easy, but we managed. Yes I would rent that house again.

Never in the Summer
To claim that this house is air-conditioned is totally misleading. The only room in the house that stays cool is the living room which is home to the only air vent in the house. The rest of the house is hot. Also, the yard is not very well kept. Some one needs to pay attention to the outside a little more. Other than being hot inside, the house itself is nice with some space limitations in the bedrooms and baths. I would not rent this house again in the summer.
