Good house for enjoying San Carlos
This is a good house - the rooms are all comfortable with air conditioning and comfy beds and there is lots of space in the house to accommodate a big family. One of the only 2 bathrooms is outside the front door - not great. The kitchen is ok, but the oven doesn't get above 100 degrees. We got around this by cooking on the great BBQ in the garage. The pool is nice - it's a salt pool - great - but it struggled to cope with 8 tourists with suncream on, even though we all rinsed off before entering the water, and algae did build up in the pool. I think it needs to be cleaned more regularly during the hot summer months. The house in itself is pretty, but the way the pool is located makes it feel as if it's in the car park, and did detract from it's charm. There is a little bit of garden, but not much, so it does look better in the photos than in real life... the main problem with this house is also probably it's best aspect too - It's directly on quite a busy road. This means that it only takes 3 minutes to walk into the local village of San Carlos which was brilliant for us with 5 teenagers, as it let them be very independent and they really enjoyed it, but as the house is on a little hill, you do constantly hear traffic which wasn't relaxing for me. Some people might not worry about this at all, and enjoy the benefits of being 10mins walk from Las Dalias market/club, as well as beautiful San Carlos with its boutiques, ice cream parlour, restaurants and excellent shop.
