This upscale, elegant, spacious home is perfect to enjoy all the Monterey Bay has to offer. With a great open reverse floor plan, the beach house is conveniently located on scenic West Cliff Drive, the jewel of Santa Cruz. Beach House is close to everything, half way between the Wharf and Natural Bridges State Park and has 180' views of the Monterey Bay. You can watch the surfers at Mitchell's Cove while you lounge on your private deck.

Enter on first floor where you will find 3 bedrooms: bedroom 1 queen bed, bedroom 2 with 2 twin beds and walk out slider onto rear deck, bedroom 3 with a queen mattress and also a slider onto the rear deck. The laundry room has a front loading washer/dryer for your convenience. Elegant full bath downstairs is roomy and beautiful with two sinks and a walk in shower.

The back yard is fenced with a very nice large deck and authentic bocce court. There is a gas BBQ on the back deck for your use.

Go upstairs to the main floor and the spectacular view afforded by the open floor plan provides views galore. Floor to ceiling windows look out at the Bay where you can watch the whales go south in the fall and north in the spring with their calves. Step out on the deck and watch dolphins play in the surf. Otters and sea lions play and feed in the kelp beds right across the street.

Upstairs you will find the main living area with the following spaces:
The elegant primary bedroom suite and bath with a luxury king bed and wall mounted HDTV 32' LCD TV to catch your favorite show while you drift off to sleep. The en suite bath has a fantastic walk in shower, two sinks and lots of room.

The spacious kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances, pots/pans/cookware and all the cooking gadgets you need, including an espresso machine, a drip coffee machine, a coffee grinder, a blender, a mixer and a toaster. You can celebrate, entertain and cook to your heart's content. Everything you need to prepare that special celebration dinner or your family's evening meals is right there.

The living room has comfortable seating for the family with beautiful designer sofas that are 'Chameleon' sofa/twin beds if needed. There is also a fold out couch which sleeps two comfortably.

Enjoy the 43" HDTV/wall mounted LCD TV with attached DVD player, or just relax to the gentle sounds of the surf. The dining room seats up to 10 people in comfort and style with custom built-in bench and cushions. Located just off the deck, the dining area has great ocean views. There is also a half-bath on this level.

The deck has seating so you can watch the beautiful sunsets while enjoying a glass of wine or dinner outside.

Right down the street toward the east is the Wharf, the Boardwalk and Downtown Santa Cruz. Right down the street to the west is Mitchell's Cove, Natural Bridges State Park and Long Marine Lab.

Beaches: Two beaches are within walking distance. The beach at Mitchell's Cove is visible from the deck of the property and it is about a 5 minute walk to the stairs to the beach. Main Beach, Wharf & Boardwalk are about 8 blocks away.

Bring binoculars to watch the otters, dolphins, whales and shore birds from the balcony.

Jackets are needed in the evening all year round in Santa Cruz.

Parking: There are 3 parking spaces on the property, one in the garage and 2 on the driveway. Additional overnight on-street parallel parking is available in the area.

Very conducive as a beach house for our family. Plenty of space. Love the upstairs living area with all the amenities! Charmin TP was great! A lot of rentals skimp on paper towns and TP. We even played Bocce Ball outside. Even better locations for the Iron Race the kids participated in.

Family and friends gathered over Memorial weekend for a lovely time enjoying local beaches (two in walking distance) and the Boardwalk scene . I goofed on the registration and the host bent over backwards to accommodate our party. Extremely clean, great fenced yards

Great view and walking options
I never got tired of enjoying the view from the living room, dining room or patio - morning or evening. We even saw otters and sea lions frolicking in the sea. The weather was amazing and we enjoyed walks along the ocean each day and explored Natural Bridges. Kitchen was well stocked. Safeway and downtown we’re nearby. Updated carpet and furniture would’ve made the experience 5 star.

Spring Break 2024
Our family from 2 others states came to stay here with us for Spring Break 2024. The ocean views at this house are amazing! Epic location for beautiful walks along West Cliff, and location perfect to explore all of Santa Cruz. Dog friendly a huge plus for our fur baby. Great communication, house well stocked with everything we needed and nice and clean. We would love to return to entertain friends and family. Thank you for the wonderful accommodations, gem of a house.

Great place to relax
We were a party of 7, and enjoyed our stay. Was a very nice place and we would stay again. Only issue was there wasn't enough wash clothes, but we managed. In addition, windows were a bit dirty, but it was very foggy.

We enjoyed our stay and the views and the location. I did not like the long staircase needed to go in and out since I am crippled and it is a big extra effort. The place was well equipped for meal preparation.

The house was exactly what we had hoped. Excellent views of the ocean. The upstairs bed was super comfy. You could easily hear the ocean day and night. The bathrooms were updated. The kitchen was well appointed. We would stay again.

Spectacular Views
This is our second stay at this location. Perfect location for what we want, easy access to walking along ocean, beach access, watching surfers, church, board walk etc. The house is well equipped with everything you need for a short or long stay. Owner was easy to communicate with and very responsive. It would be nice to have a newer grill. We will stay here again.

Sn amazing property with a balcony facing the ocean which was our favorite spot. Nice to be above the interesting parade of people. Aldo loved the back with the bocci ball court. No extra parking made getting together v with others a bit challenging but easy to find extra street parking on nearby side street. All in all, a great beach house.

very disappointing
not at all of what was on the website. the website stated on the beach it wasn't said tennis no such,from the upstairs balcony all you could see was an outdoor potty and big trucks, hammering all day. the worst was a kitchen upstairs which was never stated. CA has a disability act that must be disclosed and wasn't. Frankly I never heard of a kitchen upstairs. I never would have rented this property if I knew what was really there! carpets dirty and smelly. I give it a 1

Had a Rough Start
Overall the location and accommodations were very good but the beginning of the stay was "eventful." When we arrived at our accommodations we noticed a smell of gas. After calling the property manager and owners we ended up calling PG & E ourselves. After their investigation it was determined there was a gas leak in the wall above the stove. It was an inconvenience but the owners and vrbo where very helpful it fixing the leak as quickly as possible and making sure we had a pleasant stay in Santa Cruz. They couldn't have been more helpful in making a potentially terrible stay into a very nice vacation.

Tourist destination location
This lovely updated 4 Bedroom rental has an open floor plan on the upper level. Windows with three directional views from living room, kitchen and dining area. Nice deck. The deck has clear wind screens. Kitchen well stocked. The whole house is decorated, but not cluttered. We were there and Front row seating for King title waves of Dec.2023. There is a temporary one-way abutter access due to temporary road repairs. . Walking and negotiating packing an unpacking for multi-family stay needed.. That section of W.Cliff Drive is a tourist destination. So a steady flow of pedestrians, bicycles, and when road fixed, I imagine car traffic when road fixed. Makes for good people watching. Good wifi, back yard. Two lower-level bedrooms have back yard access. Master upstairs, sight ocean view. Two very large bathrooms and a half-bath. We absolutely loved our stay! It’s close to town, museums, lots to do, or just stay in and enjoy the amazing view.

Amazing location
We had a great time at the house and in Sanata Cruz. There were 8 of us, our three kids (15-24) and their friends. The lower level has 3 bedrooms and one bathroom, the master is upstairs. The configuration worked well for us. There was a huge storm while we were there, the street closed and we lost power for a few hours. The view of the ocean was phenomenal and we were not evacuated. 1) We should have brought binoculars to see the sea otters, 2) I would recommend that a stash of flashlights and candles be left somewhere in the house or garage in case of emergency, 3) we had trouble getting the TV to connect to a computer (due to the location of the cords and connection to the wall). We finally got it set up to stream on the second night, but a smart TV would be a useful upgrade.

Wonderful Location
Great location, 180 degree views of the ocean. The walkway along cliff shore drive is just across the street. About 1 1/2 miles either way to Bridges state park and the wharf. A long walk to either place so bring bikes. House has a nice layout with the great room facing the ocean and huge windows to enjoy the view. Nice deck overlooking the ocean as well. None of the bedrooms have a good ocean view. House was clean when we arrived. Everything as described. Beautiful woodwork and all wood floors, but could use new paint here and there. Overall fine. Unfortunately there is a power pole with a light on it out front that detracts a bit from the view, especially at night. The beds are decent except for the lower level back queen bed which is very uncomfortable. The power outlets in the lower bathroom did not work. The breaker was OK, so must need some work. There is a bacci ball court but no decent balls so bring some if you want to play. No BBQ. No ice maker in the fridge, so bring ice.

Great location and size, but needs some TLC
The location of this house was excellent as the views were beautiful and it was close to many things. The house was also much bigger than I expected. The house in back meant you could easily fit 10 people on the property. The main issue with this house was that basic maintenance was neglected. You could tell it was a very nice house that would have been so much better if they just put a hundred dollars from each rental towards basic maintenance. The property manager obviously knew about the issues because there were signs everywhere talking about what did a didn’t work. Issues: Some blinds in the living room didn’t work. These were right behind the tv and made it almost impossible to see during sunset. The master bedroom door knob was loose and you had to position it a specific was to open the door if you closed it The window cranks in the master and kitchen were mostly broken making it hard to fully close the windows Handles on several of the sliding doors were loose
