-Description:
'Santa Cruz Downtown' is an apartment located in the nerve center of the city, just above Calle Castillo, the quintessential commercial avenue. From its large windows, which flood the apartment with light, you can see in the distance the banner of the city that reminds travelers that they have arrived in the capital of paradise. The accommodation has two balconies suspended over the central streets and has been recently renovated and decorated in a modernist and elegant line.

It is an accommodation designed for comfort: it has been completely renovated and decorated to make guests feel at home, or even better!Upon arrival, the traveler finds the bright living-dining room, with a large window from which the sign that reads 'Santa Cruz' can be seen. In it, guests can rest on the cozy cheslong sofa (which is also a bed, if desired) in its designer armchair. From this room there is also access to a balcony that runs longitudinally along the façade of the building and from which one can contemplate the busy life of the city center and, specifically, the trees and the comings and goings of the commercial avenue. Despite its location, when the doors and windows are closed, the accommodation becomes quiet and peaceful, as there is no traffic on the streets on which it is located.

Attached to the living room, we find the kitchen that, cozy, is fully equipped with everything you need for your stay.

After the small corridor, we find the bathroom of the accommodation, also completely new, and the first of the bedrooms, designed for a single person. At the end of the corridor, the main bedroom delights us with a large double bed (convertible into two single beds, if desired) and a new balcony from which you can see the entire shopping street almost to the sea. Both on this balcony and on the previous one, travelers will be able to enjoy the last hours of the afternoon, letting themselves be caressed by the pleasant climate of Tenerife and replenishing their strength for the new day.

The location of the apartment in Santa Cruz de Tenerife is unbeatable. With supermarkets and all kinds of shops close at hand, it is located on Calle Castillo, the commercial artery of the capital. From there, we can choose to walk down to Plaza de España and Avenida de Anaga, just 5 minutes away, where we will find the sea and one of the most open-plan and pleasant spaces in the city. If we choose to go up the street, we will arrive at Plaza Weyler, a pleasant area in which to have a coffee, and from which we have just 5 minutes from the lungs of Santa Cruz, the exuberant García Sanabria park and La Rambla, a pleasant walk wooded.Very close, too, we find the Plaza de El Príncipe, a 19th century construction and a meeting area for places to drink beers or wines. Finally, the Concepción neighborhood and its Calle de la Noria, the most historic face of the city, with its low colored houses and its nightlife, are also nearby. Enjoy our center!

Santa Cruz is a capital that can be explored perfectly on foot. Virtually everything is within a maximum of 15 minutes on foot and our advice is to take advantage of it. If you want to visit La Laguna, you can use the bus or the tram (also very close to the apartment). If you decide to rent a car to visit the rest of the island you can look for parking in the surrounding streets without worry because in the Canary Islands we do not have parking meters! And, if you can't find it, just 10 meters from the accommodation there is a paid parking lot.

Good location, needs TLC
I picked this apartment mainly for the central location, everything available on the doorstep. However - it had its drawbacks. The apartment door lock needs urgent attention, it was damaged and a nightmare to open. No traffic noise but constant loud crowd noise because it was so near cafes etc. Throughout the night there was no peace, earplugs essential. Kitchen equipment was minimal, no kettle, no toaster, only 2 wineglasses, no oven dishes etc. I like to cook and it wasn’t easy with the limited facilities. Lots of tiny ants around the kitchen, couldn’t leave any food or drink open. Ridiculous number of drawers in the bedrooms but nowhere to hang a dress! All these problems could be sorted with a little care from the letting company.
