"After a long cold and rainy day on the Camino, Manuel picked us up in town. This was a life saver as we were so wet and cold from the walk. Upon arrival there was a welcoming fire and coffee and cookies. We felt right at home. We were the only guest so we were able to enjoy the family room by the fire all evening. "The road was long and windy to get there, but the welcome and beauty of the place vastly made up for it! The property is less than 30 minutes from the center of Santiago, located in a green valley. The main house dates from the early 18th century, with thick granite walls, and has been wonderfully restored with all modern comfort (including good wifi!). "Really nice place to stay. Basically converted farmhouse & barns with a lovely garden containing a sheep dog, cat & ducks. The outside areas were very pleasant with a covered shelter, where we put our motorbike when it rained, and a nice lawn where we sat most evenings drinking wine. Breakfast was excellent. Hostess Maria was very friendly & helpful."
