"charming old world property. we just slept and had a generous breakfast. all that was amazing, and the staff was super positive and charming. "

"I got really lost finding the right bus and Giacomo was really helpful and eventually came to pick me up in his car, which was fabulous as I was tired and with a big bag. The house is a lovely old house and the room was clean and perfect with an ensuite. Giacomo gave me information about where to go to eat and I went to Leo’s nearby where they cut slices of pizza at whatever size you like which is a great idea. The breakfast was nice and a range of things that you can order the night...

"This was a great place to stay for an early morning flight out of Pisa. The walk to the airport is short and easy. The neighborhood is safe. Inside the Pisaland is a common room with a refrigerator with drinks to buy and complimentary juice, coffee and wrapped pastries. Then you have your own room and bathroom. The room was clean and had air conditioning. Also, the beds were comfortable. The aesthetics feel like you are in an older home. I would highly recommend staying here. "

In order to check in a few days prior you have to scan in your passport and a picture of you with your passport, fill out all your information and then you will be checked in by email. "Good value for one night and 10min walk to the centre. The parking is street parking which was fine the area felt quite safe. The room was spotless clean and the bed comfortable. The walls although are very thin so you can hear people in the next rooms and upstairs. Plumbing is very noisy. We were kept up and woken up quite early because of noise. Otherwise good stay!"

"We liked the location and the fact it was quiet.The bed was comfortable. Kitchen adequate but would have liked electric kettle. It was wet weather and we had no control over heating as it was put on remotely and only occasionally during our weeks stay. We appreciated the clean towels and linen everyday. A welcome pack was not included ie info on nearest shop. So more difficult when travelling without a car. Lucca is a wonderful city and a few little touches would have made us feel more welcome...

"Nice clean room, en suite, with tea and coffee-making facilities. Only a velux window though, so no views. Bathroom nice enough, if a little cramped. Reasonable breakfast with excellent coffee. Very friendly staff. Convenient for both the train station and the tower."

"This is a truly beautiful house with long views down to Lucca and olive groves all around. It is well-furnished and we slept really soundly. Massimo, the host, is extremely gracious and offers many great ideas for local activities and day trips, and once you find it the local supermarket is very well stocked. "We are a group of 12 retired friends traveling first time in Tuscany. Villa Buonamici was the perfect accommodation for us. It is very close to the gate to the walled city center, literally only minutes away. The accommodations were exactly as described. Checkin/out was very easy and convenient. Our trip to Tuscany included stays in four separate locations and Villa Buonamici was by far our favorite. Do yourself a favor and stay at this Villa, you won’t be disappointed."
