"We were very pleased with our decision to stay here. Lots of room for 4 adults with diverse sleeping preferences. Some liked to sleep in the full dark, others preferred to see the sunrise. Great location within walking distance of the park and the beach and downtown Monte Gordo. Nice market close by with almost everything we needed, and a short drive to larger grocery stores like Aldi in Tavira and San Antonio. "This is a lovely property that is very close to the beach and a 5 min cycle ride to Monte Gordo. There is also a nearby shop attached to a cafe that is perfect for essentials. The beach itself (5 mins walk away) is stunning and seems to go on forever. As is clear from the pictures, decoratively the house is a tad dated inside. For those who don't mind this, however, it offers a perfect Algarve beach house. Although the house has 5 bedrooms, the small living area would make it a bit of a squeeze...

"La casa es nueva, pero le faltan bastantes detalles. No tiene lavadora, las lámparas están superpuestas sobre la luz de obra, la terraza que da al jardín no tenia pomo y se sujetaba con una cuerda. No tiene ningún ventilador y en verano en Huelva y lejos de la costa hace bastante calor por las noches. Sin embargo el precio es como el de una casa con todos esos detalles y sin estar cerca de la playa."

The house did not appear to have been cleaned when we arrived but the property manager immediately sent the cleaners and it was quickly cleaned. "The property is in a nice, quiet, residential position and the pool is clean and cared for. Walking distance to the town and beach made it easy for us. The garden is small but pretty and fairly private given the house position. Having someone to meet us would have been a nice touch, or even someone checking in during the stay or when leaving. "Very satisfied with our stay in the apartments. Stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment which had all the facilities we needed. Very friendly staff that answered any questions politely and helpfully. Food was good with plenty of choice although the buffet style could mean it was, on occasion, not hot enough. Good choice of pools and bars."

"Nothing had been organised for our stay. Very unprofessional manager,Really bad damp and musty smell.Beds were wet, windows leaked during night. No coffee machine working, no wine glasses. Lamps in bedrooms crackled, fire hazard... the list goes on.. there is no entertaining space other than kitchen for 8 ppl thats crazy.."

Four nights in Monte Gordo.

"Great hotel in Monte Gordo, we had a fabulous stay in a wonderful town with amazing beach and very close to the Spanish border. Staff were grand, we had a very good buffet breakfast, main items to choose from. Very close to beach and shops. If needed there is a 2 1/2 mile walk to the border town of Vila Real de Santo Antonio along a straight road but the beach walk is glorious although twice the distance. Beach is just fantastic. Was a small fishing village before tourism and no natural harbour so the fishing boats are launched by tractor pushing them into the sea. Many eateries, cafes etc in the town. The bed we had was very comfy and the shower was so lovely , with power and heat. Also had a fridge in the room. Would recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again. Cheers 😁😁"

"Great location and facilities. It was my birthday and I appreciated the bottle of bubbly in my room. The cleaning staff were were very friendly. The indoor pool was lovely. The only problem was that we booked the hotel because it had a spa but the hotel did not inform us beforehand that it was closed during the two days that we were there. That was very disappointing. "

"Excellent hotel, friendly and helpful staff, clean premises and well equipped, good sized rooms. 2 swimming pools, a gym, good food options and plenty of free car parking add to the positives. A good hotel all round with lovely beaches nearby and the national park to walk in. Highly recommended. "
