"I had a really great stay here. First, the building is amazing. Staying in a beautiful setting like this really added to my experience in Kathmandu. Second, the staff is great. From thoroughly cleaning my room each day (more than is typical at a hotel) to making sure my bed was heated at night, they were attentive to all my needs. Third, the breakfast buffet was great. They also augmented it with some Nepali cuisine cooked to order. The only negative is that I seemed to have an allergic reaction to something in the room that caused me to sneeze quite a bit. "

"This was an amazing place to stay...a former palace. It is elegant, beautiful, has spacious rooms with all the amenities, a wonderful restaurant with an impeccable menu at great prices, and pool. It is in a great and safe location, 5 mins from shops and main restaurants at a $2 cab ride away but peaceful where it is located.The breakfast buffet is delicious and varied. The massage was the best I've ever had anywhere in the world. The staff was extraordinary, helpful, &kind. I left significant money by mistake on the reception counter and was leaving in the cab, but staff from reception came running outside to bring me the money I had forgotten. That is beyond honest! "
