"The house is in a beautiful location, surrounded by vineyards and nut trees. The view from the terrace is amazing and we enjoyed the shade it offered during the day and the pretty sunsets in the warm evenings. The pool is perfect - clean and refreshing with parasols and sunbeds for relaxing. It is also as big as it looks in the pictures! "As in all prior reviews, a "10" from us. The house is a modern design, fully equipped, with great view over old Alba. We didn't use the pool, but it is large and always clean. Easy walk into Centro; we also found parking when we drove into town. Best part was our host. Always accessible. As an example. we had a problem with our car one day, and he volunteered to go with us to a mechanic and help us out. We've stayed in a number of VRBO's. This was at the top. Highly recommended. "

The pool was ideal for a cooling splash and lots of play with my daughter while her mum enjoyed the sun bathing. "Our group of 6 adults stayed at the villa for 5 days while exploring the surrounding wine region and relaxing after a wedding. The villa was amazing. There was plenty of space for all guests, comfortable beds, a well stocked kitchen and perfectly manicured lawn and pool area. Marco, Lonela and Christian were great to work with and so friendly, especially through our language barriers. "This is a very cool house but the photos and the reality are not one and the same. I was shocked at how rustic the kitchen was. The only pic of the kitchen is the fabulous gas range, but there is a reason they don't show you the rest. It is tiny, with not much storage or countertop space. the marble sink is old and very small. It was a struggle cooking in there. "It was a pleasure to stay in Villa Barbara. Everything was clean and place was quiet and looked like brand new. Special kudos to all of the complimentary food - cake, eggs, milk, wine, water, bread, cheese, salami, hazel nuts - everything we needed for the breakfast for couple of days. "We enjoyed our stay at the villa. The rooms were comfortable, the amenities (pool, outdoor pizza oven) enhanced the overall experience of exploring the region. It’s well situated for terrific bike trips to various smaller wine towns. The town center is a five minute car drive with great markets for all things food and drink.
