Embrace the wonder of nature on the Sandy River at this peaceful cottage that feels like home. This magical place on 1.5 wooded acres is sublime for a couple’s quiet getaway or a contemplative solo escape. Here, the river will inspire you to reconnect with the natural world.

Framed by 100-year-old cedars, the cottage offers dazzling views of the river. Cross the wooden footbridge over the seasonal creek and walk a few steps to the water’s edge. You may see ducks or a heron fishing, migrating birds sunning on the rocks, a resident eagle soaring above, or baby salmon fingerlings gathered in the shaded pools.

This newly renovated riverfront retreat remains true to its 1950s summer house origins. It still has the big blue bathtub and red cedar-shingled exterior but now shines with simple luxury and modern amenities tucked into the one-level floor plan. Although the cottage feels secluded, it is minutes from Sandy and Welches, shops and restaurants, golfing, Mt. Hood, hiking trails, waterfalls, fishing, gas, and EV charging stations.
For an unforgettable sunset, lean back in your lounge chair and watch the river as the last sunlight dances on the moving water. Then whip up something fabulous for dinner in the sparkling kitchen. Or grill and dine al fresco on the patio as the stars twinkle.

After a day of playing on Mt. Hood, kayaking from your beach, or mountain biking the nearby Sandy Ridge Trail, cozy up in front of the wood-burning stove, stream a movie, or head off to dreamland in the comfy bed and let the river sing you nature’s lullaby from an open window. Discover the delights and benefits of a quiet escape to Bobʻs Riverfront Retreat. The river is calling! Book now.

Perfect little getaway
This is the second time my husband and I have stayed here and definitely won’t be our last! We love how cozy the cabin is, relaxing on the rocks by the river, and being so close to amazing hiking spots!

Beautiful, Secluded and Immaculate
Beautiful location, on the river, very secluded, not far from Mount Hood, and they even had a beautiful trail in the neighborhood. Very cost home, was very clean and would definitely stay again. Perfect for a couple getaway.

Perfect hideaway
This was beyond perfect for our 10 year anniversary. We got away to a little piece of paradise and peace. The river and sandy spot was a dream. This property is all the advertise and more. Perfectly stocked and maintained, we can’t wait to come back.!

Wonderful Place
A beautiful location right on the Sandy River that is enhanced with a cabin that is clean and well laid out. A comfortable bed, a well appointed kitchen, windows that affords a view of the river, a clean and easy to use grill and close access to many trails are just part of the charm of this home. Our only problem was that the cabin was so quiet, peaceful and relaxing that we got a later start than we wanted to visit all of the sites of the Mt Hood area. A great place to stay

Anniversary
Very nice. Surprised that the only bath was at one end of the house and the bedroom was at the other. Couldn't really tell that from the photos.

Beautiful Property, Not Ideal Circumstances
My husband and I booked this trip months in advance as a little getaway for our anniversary. The property is beautiful, under normal circumstances, it would have likely been perfect. I've struggled to uncouple the circumstances of the weekend from what a normal weekend may be like. We happened to be there during the stifling heatwave in June. There was no relief from the heat, the property does not have AC (again, under normal circumstances, totally fine), and there was a single box fan tucked away in a closet. All of the windows have screens, we kept them closed and the doors closed but so many bugs still found their way inside, likely looking for a cooler place too. The river turned mud brown after our first day (not blaming anyone, it was just unfortunate). One morning we saw a man and woman wandering around down by the river, the next thing we knew they were pressing their faces up against the window in the bedroom and the slider off the dining room, that was creepy. I wanted to like the place, I wanted it to become a place we'd return to again; if there hadn't been an epic heatwave that likely caused a lot of our discomfort and an unsettling encounter with strangers, we probably would return. Overall, the property is beautiful, the house is well stocked, it's charming. The internet works great all the way to the river bank.

5 Stars All Around!
The property was beautiful! The house was perfect for 2 people and simple but well appointed and very comfortable. The property management was also very responsive when the coffee maker broke. I highly recommend this property.

Amazing Location and Sweet Vintage Cabin
We loved everything about this rental. The quiet and beauty of the river was very special. The cabin was very nicely organized, clean and comfortable. Ceilings were a bit low, maybe 6feet 8inches? My husband had to duck through the doorways, he is 6 feet 3 inches tall. Good thing the cabin has a no shoes rule as if he had shoes on, he would have probably bumped his head going in and out. Really wasn't an issue though. There was an issue with fruit flies. Bummer there were so many, both outside and inside. We tried to eat dinner on the patio but quickly moved inside after several got into our wine glasses and onto our food. Dozens, maybe hundreds swarmed us and our areas as we tried to eat. Was not any better indoors. They were drawn to the light I guess too. They were swarming around the light bulbs and near the lamps. We let the management know. If we had known, we would have packed fly strips. Not sure what else one would do. Not the owner or the property management's fault. Cleanliness was a 5 star. Just our weird weather. Long warm summer. I think that as soon as the weather dips into the 30's, they will go away. Climate change is affecting all of us, including the bugs. At least it was only fruit flies.

Peaceful Getaway
This was the most relaxing trip I have had in a long time. The house is super cute, private, and peaceful. The river is very close to your backdoor and the view is breathtaking. We spent most of our time out back watching the birds and taking in the fresh air. The bed was super comfortable. This will be my first option next time we travel to Oregon.

Kicked me out
The owner knew my handicap daughter my son his girlfriend and I were staying. I called the morning of and told them my family is coming to hangout for the day. I got called as soon as my family got there. Long story short at almost 9 the cleaning lady came to move us. To a neighborhood with zero water access. The whole point was to be by the water. Then the cleaning lady gave me her # in case of anything. Texted her 3 times. Zero response. I have not even had a apology or any type of reimbursement. Very mad. Becky!!

Great, clean, private cottage in woods. Nice shoreline to Sandy river to hop in for a cold plunge though not too cold. House is well supplied. Love the serenity there! We would stay again.

Would return!
This place was absolutely spotless and I like to think I have a good eye for cleanliness. The king bed was extremely comfortable. Even though it is nestled close to one neighbor there it is so well landscaped that it still felt very private. The proximity to Sandy River made this property and stay even more divine! I would absolutely return.

Cozy, immaculate, riverfront cabin for the family
My family of 4 stayed in this lovely cabin for 2 nights. Loved the wood stove and cozy feel. All beds were comfortable and the place was immaculate. Too much rain to enjoy the fire pit by the river, so we'll look forward to that on another trip! Great jumping off point for night tubing, picking up ski rentals in Sandy, having a fantastic burger at Pub26, etc. Enjoy!

Loved our time on the river!
We really appreciated all the lights on at the house as we had arrived on a very dreary Friday! No stumbling around in the dark and the covered parking was appreciated. The house was super clean and had everything that we needed. The master was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. As much as we loved the cabin we are all about the outside space and that is where we fell in love with Bob's Riverfront! Sitting right on that riverbank in the morning, sipping our coffee was just what we needed! Will definitely come back so that we can explore more of this part of Oregon.

Perfect Spot On The River
Spent a long weekend with some old friends here. We went on a hike and floated down the river, but spent most of our time at the cabin grilling, eating, drinking, and just hanging out enjoying the view. Perfect spot.

Beautiful Location
The proximity and access to the Sandy River was fantastic. The furniture and beds were comfortable and well maintained. There was a bit of excessive noise from target practice across the street one morning, however, manageable. I would certainly stay here again.
