This spectacular riverview house is perfect for those who love to spend their days outdoors. Located near the beautiful Pend Oreille River, which opens into Lake Pend Oreille, you will find a sandy private beach for swimming, boating, kayaking, and picnicking. Equipped with two boat slips, a beach volleyball court, picnic tables, a firepit, and a grill, this wonderful rental is the perfect destination for your Idaho getaway!

During winter months, enjoy snowshoeing on the home's 80+ acres, sledding, or skiing at nearby Schweitzer resort. In the summer, the beach and boat slip access are across Highway 2, easily accessible by foot or car (please note only one car is allowed on the beach - there is additional parking at the end of the road before the crossing). There is a paid boat launch at Dover and a free launch at Berry Lane, just a few minutes west on Highway 2.

This beautiful property is perfect for family reunions, weddings, and other group get-togethers. You may see wildlife on the property, such as deer, moose, and wild turkey, and there is a lovely river view from the living room. Inside, the house offers a well-appointed kitchen, an open-concept space with new appliances, and a dining table that seats 10. End your day playing board games or Ping-Pong or watching movies by the fire. Your well-behaved dog is welcome for a small nightly fee, and you'll have access, as well.

The sleeping loft at Riverpoint House is like a big beautiful tent with soaring ceilings. This space sleeps seven people with one queen-size bed, one queen fold-out, one full bed, and one twin. This pretty and unique space offers the perfect “bunkhouse” experience, while the downstairs private primary provides a sunrise view of the river, a comfortable king-size bed, and a private primary bath with a soaking tub and views of the woods.

No hot tub and beach far
Overall, enjoyed the stay, home was comfortable and clean. Chose this over a similar less expensive booking because of the beach access and hot tub. Beach is across the highway, 20 min walk.

Family friendly house
We had a great time staying here. It was a nice place for our whole family. We wanted a place to stay that was close to Schweitzer and dog friendly. It’s about a half hour away and an easy drive. We loved being able to use the hot tub and enjoyed the variety of games and the ping pong table. The only complaint is that we tried reaching out to the owner to ask a question about a week before our trip and we never got a response.

Very special weekend!
Our favorite was the hot tub. We enjoyed it multiple times during our 2 1/2 day stay. Our children loved the skis and snowboards that were in the garage and happily played on a hill right next to the house with them every day. There are views of the river, but please note when you’re reading the description, that it does say the access is *across the highway*. The road to the access is steep/sketchy in the winter time if that’s when you choose to go, but you’ll be fine with 4WD. My family went because I had planned on placing a rose in the river to honor my brother as he had passed two years ago on the weekend we booked our stay. Some basic amenities were present, but not much. Thankfully we brought our own cooking oil, but bring your own spices, coffee and hot pads + tinfoil, plastic wrap, ziplocs (if you need them) because they are not provided. The house design is eccentric and neat! Lots of choices of DVDs on the upper and lower level. The TV and DVD player upstairs does not work (sound is broken), so we just stuck with the downstairs set up. The Roku remote for that was very spotty (as the batteries were old) but we were able to get it working better by finding a spare battery in a junk drawer. The shower/bath temps are scalding or cold, just fyi. Overall, we had a great weekend and we actually paid a very small fee to extend our checkout time on our last day. We would stay again in the summertime just to get a different experience.

Quite private area. The house was clean and views were beautiful. My only wish is that there were curtains in the bed and bathroom. The house has everything we needed and was close enough to town to grab groceries. We will be staying again with our family.

Overall a good stay. Rain really hard one night then a tree fell down over the main driveway. No accidents or injury suffered. We cleared the driveway..the house sits close to the highway...alittle noisy when outside. However. The house was perfect, clean and fun for our family...would go back again

Romantic Getaway
My wife and I have four small children and were in desperate need of some time to recharge. My wife found this listing and instantly loved the floor to ceiling windows and the beautiful location. When we arrived on Thursday night we were instantly charmed by the space and the retro 70's feel. This rental seems like it was an artist's hideaway in the 70's. The only other building that is visible from the windows looking out is an old abandoned barn/house. Everything else is just trees or in our case, snow covered trees. I can see why those who originally must have lived in the house never bothered to put up window coverings because the view is gorgeous and there are no other neighbors to peek at you. We loved how much light poured in through all the windows and we just bought some dollar store black plastic tablecloths and used painters tape to hang them up in over the windows in the master so that we could enjoy our chance to sleep in over our vacation. The kitchen was spacious and perfectly suited to our needs, we cooked several meals over our 3 night stay because it was just such a pleasant and quiet space we didn't want to leave, even to go out to eat. We loved going in the hot tub and just enjoying the peace and quiet. Other reviews mentioned the road noise but we hardly noticed it while we were outside or inside. There is a really substantial amount of forest between the house and the highway. The bed in the master was pretty comfortable if a bit squeaky and there were plenty of extra blankets in case we got cold or just needed something while watching tv on the couch. Honestly it was a magical weekend and my wife and I are already trying to plan a trip to come back here sometime later this year because it was so amazing and we would eventually love to bring our kids to it to have a family getaway once they are older and will actually sleep ;) If you need a relaxing getaway that is perfect for a couple or for a family do not hesitate to book this property!

Very quiet peaceful
It was a great short vacation plenty of supplies. The house is at a great location. There was dog hair all over the floor not major deal. I do think curtains or blinds in the master bath would be good as toilet looks out at hot tub. The housekeepers put the towels away damp so we needed to dry them first. These are not big deals we would for sure stay again especially if we had a little more time to enjoy the lake.

Beautiful home, uniquely furnished.
Very nice home, next to Rt 200 on a hill so significant road noise when windows are open. There are significant fees in addition to the nightly price which add about 50% to the advertised price like a few hundred for hot tub cleaning (which we never used). This was our first VRBO stay so lesson learned. Also aggravating was the speed of the internet which was akin to a phone modem. I planned on doing some work each morning but was unable to do so. Multiple communications with property manager resulted in lots of apologies and promises but no improvement.

Pend Oreille River
We were somewhat disappointed that the house was separated from the Pend Oreille River by both a state highway and railroad tracks, and the walk back up to the house was longer than we thought it would be, and steep. Not a great place for families with children or older people. Only the flooring and appliances were updated in this home. The rest of the home (cabinets, fixtures) were 1970-1980s era. In addition, once additional fees were added by the booking agency and property owners (most of which are not optional), the per day price increased by 50% above the advertised list price.

Mountain Getaway in Sandpoint, ID
We brought our two Bernese Mountain dogs and dear friends to stay at this delightful house for a ski trip to Schweitzer. The big reason we booked here was the hot tub for Apres Ski and it is dog friendly. Lovely home with cool art, well-stocked kitchen and pantry, real wood fireplace (huge bonus since low temps were -8 below) The only two things to note, WiFi isn't great (but it's because HughesNet) so use your phones as a hot spot, that seemed to work okay. The only other thing was the shower knobs were a little off so made it harder to control water temps. We definitely want to come back in summertime too! Oh, and bonus for a WSU Cougar cooler in the garage! lol #GoCougs!

Spontaneous snow ski trip
Decided to go on a last minute ski trip in Idaho. My only wish was to have a hot tub and be close to the ski hill. This was as close as I could get. Unfortunately the wifi didn’t work until the end of our trip and the microwave was broken. The manager was quick to respond and fixed it the microwave the next day. Our stay was 3 days and I reached out 2 of the 3 for property manager to fix things.

Great Weekend .
The house was very spacious. Beddings were clean. Cabinets in the kitchen was full. Microwave was broken. Wifi worked 50% of the time. The house stayed warm throughout our stay; the wood for the fireplace was wet so we had a hard time starting a fire. The dishes in the kitchen needs to be replace because it was stained and very old. The closet that stored the brooms, the trim came off and we had to push it back in so it didn't fall off. The drive to Schweitzer ski resort took 35-40 minutes; we thought it would be closer. Overall, we give it a 4 star. We would stay here again.

Very enjoyable
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and were very comfortable. Beautiful views and beach access was funky and fun even though it was Fall. I was very inspired by and very much enjoyed the artwork selection throughout the home. Proximity to city of Sandpoint was handy. A couple of suggestions - We would’ve liked a teakettle to make pots of tea, (there was a hot water maker as part of the coffeemaker for single cups). A couple of Shoji screens upstairs to privatize the open sleeping areas upstairs would be useful. I understand cleaning takes time, but the 4 pm check in seemed late to get settled and make dinner. And the 10 am check out was disappointing. We felt pressured to have to get up and rush breakfast and packing while vacationing especially for the rate we were paying per night. All in all we would stay here again if the family we met were to choose this area again. Thank You
