Super cute and well equipped and will definitely stay here again when in the area
We enjoyed our stay at such a cozy spot so close to the village. You can walk to the lifts or it's a very short drive. We will definitely stay here again.
The condo was perfect! Very clean and comfortable. Within walking distance to village and everything we needed for a comfortable stay after a long day on the mountain was in the condo. I would definitely stay there again!
Worked fine for what I needed. Ski then sleep, while I ate at village and on mountain. The Outback is wonderful - set your clock back 40 years. The walk to the village is 13 minutes, walked once and then drove there. The owner was very nice, answered Qs immediately.
Kathryn was a great host. Communication was easy and timely. The location of the condo couldn’t be beat with easy walking distance to Schweitzer. The condo was clean and cozy.
Beautiful location, clean updated “tiny house” style lodging, beware of loud neighbors. Our stay was good, hosts are incredibly easy to work with and hospitable, and unit is nicely updated and warms up nicely (up on a ski mountain. Only complaint was the neighbors downstairs being so loud at 1am that it woke/kept us awake. Otherwise great rustic getaway spot in Sandpoint.

We loved being right at Schweitzer Mountain. We were there in the summer so it was quite quiet, but still lots of activity on the hill.
The property is perfect for two people. While it sleeps four I think it would be pretty tight. But it’s got everything you would need.
Oven wasn’t working, but we didn’t need it.
The two stairs up to the bedroom are steep and narrow, not great for overnight trips to the bathroom.
Overall, I would recommend this place for a couple’s getaway!
The condo was just what we needed. Close to skiing, great views, comfortable beds. Check in was easy, good communication with the owner. If you're looking for a nice place to stay for skiing or just relaxing in the mountains, this condo is for you. We brought our food and everything we needed for cooking was there. Staying on the mountain was well worth not having to drive up and down the access road. The condo is cozy but plenty of room for 2 adults and with the loft, has room for 2 kids. If you go up in the winter, I recommend having a 4-wheel drive vehicle. The road is plowed but getting around is much easier with the right equipment.

Disappointing
Very small condo was very disappointing in many regards. Broken oven, missing cabinet and furniture knobs, fireplace disconnected, dirty pots and pans, a tv that didn’t work, no dishwasher, etc, (Just too many things amiss for an enjoyable stay). To be fair, owner replaced the television while we were in residence, but potential guests should be aware that the place needs a deep cleaning, and a major refreshening/remodel to bring up up to par. The loft is good for kids who can climb a ladder, but most adults would have difficulty getting a suitcase, let alone themselves up there. Then what happens when you have to use that bathroom at night? Accommodation is best for one or two young people who are looking to save money. Owners should put a bit of elbow grease into improving the place. Small layout isn’t a problem, but worn down and deferred maintenance is. Disappointing experience, (but skiing was good on the mountain).
This is a cozy rental within striking distance of village and slopes with a lot going for it. Well-appointed and stocked kitchen, plenty of storage space, gorgeous shower, friendly downstairs neighbor, and comfortable main bed. The communication with the host was excellent and instant. We had an issue with the WiFi, and our hosts were able to quickly come up with a creative, short-term solution that satisfied our needs. (Might be worth asking about the WiFi is you have remote work needs like Zooms.) The loft room is up a short ladder from the main bedroom right at foot of master bed, so not a ton of privacy, but the loft itself is reasonably good sized. I’d quibble with the description of this unit as “ski out”—maybe technically, but not in any real functional sense, as part of the route is on the (sanded) road, it leads down to the bunny lift (which can be crowded with lower parking lot drivers), and you still have to climb up the hill to the unit on the way back after a long day’s skiing. We found it easier to drive (go early, lots fill up) or just walk directly to the Village. This is probably too small for four adults, but two adults and two kids would definitely work. Recommended.
Beyond terrible-Giving 1 star because there nothing below that.
This property and our experience over the May long weekend in 2023 was the worst ever. Host mentioned we check-in before 10pm and we showed up to the address provided to us using GPS by 9:30 pm and spent until 11pm looking for the place. When we could not locate the place, we tried to reach the host and no phone number was provided to us in her initial email communication. Cell coverage was terrible, and there was no mention of that in the initial host communication as a heads up, and finally at 11pm we came down from the top of the mountain as it was very late, and we didn't want to disturb the neighbors and cause any inconvenience to the host. We had to find alternate accommodations and shared another place with friends and crashed with others. We emailed the host that night and she responded with "no one else had this experience before no sort of apology or empathy at all". We tried to get at least a partial refund, and she didn't bother to respond at all. We then reached to VRBO customer service who deferred the refund decision back to the host unfortunately and left her a detailed voice mail message requesting, and as expected no communication at all from the host :( , not even an apology. All in all, terrible customer service by the host and, we are extremely disappointed how customer service chose to handle this situation. We will not be renting from this host ever again, and also considering booking our future rentals with other providers.
Loved this adorable little place…except the shower would not get hot, and the beds were uncomfortable.
It was very clean, very cute, and a great location!
The coffee and cocoa were not there, but Walmart is 12m away, so that was fine.
