"The hotel is family owned. You’ll soon find out that the front desk staff and the dining staff as well as back office are all related. The kids are very nice and hospitable and their English is great - certainly better than my Italian. Rooms are clean, comfortable and updated but really no frills and on the small side. Room is a basic double bed with a desk built into the wall and a small fridge. And that’s all there is room for. Bathroom is regular sized. If you don’t expect to spend much time in the room except to sleep, this hotel is well worth it and you won’t be disappointed at all. It’s also very centrally located and walkable everywhere. "

"Our arrival time was after the reception closed - I had messaged them in advance and have to say the instructions that they left me were spot on - so very helpful and correct. Tbh we were only in the hotel for less than 10 hours but all was good for us on our road trip ! "

"Magical castle with fantastic dining hall set in the outskirts of once-great manufacturing town of Ivrea famous for its Olivetti typewriters. Floors might be creaky and TVs are outdated, but overall ambience compensates for this a lot. Great place to stay if you travelling from Alpes to Italian coast of Milano"

"What an incredible treasure! Stayed with my 2 kids (5 & 8) and they were shocked and amazed with how incredible this mansion was! Tastefully decorated with a FABULOUS breakfast, highly recommend. Restaurant was closed for our visit they recommended a pizzeria with a woodfire oven (6eur Pizzas that were amazing). I would go far out of my way to go back here! Book it today! "

"The room was next to a busy road, but I was able to sleep well because of tiredness. Anyone walking the Via Francigena should be tired enough to sleep through an explosion. 😇 It’s only 9 mins walk from the train station (bus-substitute trains run often.) It is 19 minutes downhill walk from the Roman bridge at Pont Saint Martin. The only thing I didn’t like about the property was how difficult it was to lock the shared bathroom. Please don't wait until you really have to go as the lock may or may not work on first try, or if at all."
