April 7 2015.
We stayed at the Mastrapasqua house near San Vincenzo for ten days and had a wonderful time. We are a family of 7 and the three bedroom arrangement was a perfect fit. The house is well secluded on a quiet hillside in between olive groves and natural woodland, and yet the small town of San Vincenzo can be reached in three minutes by car. San Vincenzo has everything you need to get organised for your stay - a big supermarket, shops full of local produce, bars, restaurants and of course there's the beach.
We used the house as a base from which we explored Tuscany. Siena, Lucca, Pisa and San Gimignano are all easy day trips. Much closer to the house, Bolgheri, Suvereto, Campiglia Marttima and several more hilltop 'borgi' are all fascinating places. We also enjoyed exploring the lands around the house on foot. The area is well known for locally produced wine.
The house is well appointed with two bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen and plenty of garden furniture for days when its warm enough to eat outdoors. The owners representative met us when we arrived, even though it was quite late in the evening, and was very attentive.
Thoroughly recommended.
